Hey guys! Im purchasing a Termi exhaust for my 1199 S ABS and after reseaching I come up with 2 different models numbers for the full exhaust system including the heat guard and UpMap.

96450211B & 96480141A

both are the exact same full kit but the second one is a bit more expensive. From what I read the second kit is the newer updated kit due to a heat guard recall and the new kit has the newer version on it..

Anyone else know for sure? can you chime in on this? Thanks Fellas! Safe Riding!

Newer heat shield and newer upmap from what I was told when asked the same question.
Got the older one, havent installed it yet, so can't comment on upmap differences. But it has the smaller heat shield. Worth the difference i guess.

The upmap is already on your bike.

The key only switches upmaps.

If you get the kit with the smaller heat shield, they will recall it and give you the larger one and install it.

I've seen a 96450311B p/n on the ducati parts website. Anyone knows what that is? As far as I know they are all the same for panigale base/s/tri/R so I got confused by this.

Yes, it's a little confusing with all the different part numbers, and some of them changing over time. That number you listed (96450311B) is the part number for the Termi slip-on kit for 1199 base/s/tri. The full system part number used to be 96450211B and was updated to 96480141A, which is the current part number. The part number for the headers to upgrade a slip-on to a full system is 96480151A. 96480161A is the part number for the World Superstock header system for the 1199R to upgrade the Termi full system that comes with the R to the full racing version. For the other bikes base/s/tri the part number for the World Superstock headers is 96480231A. That's all as of today, could change tomorrow! ;)

The heat shield that comes with these Termi kits is Carbon Fiber though right? So if you save about $600-700 bucks on the older kit and get the shield recalled theyll replace with a factory shield that is non CF though...

Upmap is the same on both Termi kits new and old.. Only change is the Shield i called a few places...

Correct, the older small one or a newer larger one with metal heat shield

You wont save, any money ive seen both kits sell fro the same.

I just got mine off ebay for 2375 with the upmap.

They come up all the time around 1500 with no upmap when guys want another option on their R

I missed two at that price because I did not want to deal with finding a upmap, my dealer didn't have a clue how to get me one.

Correct.

Its not really a upmap though, only a key to switch maps in your ECU

upmaps,

unless some one corrects me.

if you have one dont sell it mary it to the bike, and keep it in you box of dont throw away.

even if you sell the bike give it to the new owner.

up map dongle is not updateable, it is semply a key..

it "stores" you latest update base map..

this is a way DUCATI gets us by the short hairs.

all programing is on the stock ecu, and is up dated when you ducati dealer hooks your bike up (during maintance, oil change, part install, etc.) some dealers do it automaticly (pissing of the guys that dynotune their PANIGALE, others you have to ask and have a work order drafted)

# i havent seen a downed bike due to this but!!! i have had my ford SUV downed for 2 weeks on a map upgrade it was to take 1 hour BUT it took 2 weeks. the up date crashed the ECU. (extreem i know)

#also years a go i seen a no start when an up date was done, with a powercommander already installed, resulting in removal of the powercommander, reinstalling, remaping, and dyno runs. (wasted hours and $ spent on shop time)
