1199S + ABS + Full Exhaust = Order Placed

Placed the order today and gave my deposit for an S+ABS and full exhaust. Delivery will be confirmed later, but it will be around March/April. I don't mind either as on the East Coast the weather won't break till May or so.

Quite excited to come in from the cold and darkness (i.e., the Aprilia RSV4-Factory) to the Panigale :):):):):):):)
 
Congrats on your order. Im from jersey too and im going to order up soon. What dealer did you go too and were you happy with them.
 
I went to Jack Trebour. Yes very happy with them. I have also had a very good experience with Rockwell Cycles though they are in Montgomery, NY. If you are close to Jack Trebour I definitely recommend them. I have been talking to Steve Cooper there for a while and definitely on the up and up (I don't believe he is a sales guy, but he did all the work). Let him know Bob with the RSV4 sent you. Good luck, I think the 1199 is going to be an awesome bike.
 
Thanks Bob, i live about 20 minutes from jack trebour. I will head over there soon. By the way how do u like the rsv? That is another bike that i was considering. Thanks for the feedback.
 
I have the 2010 RSV4-Factory and to be honest the whole experience has been a nightmare for me. The bike has had so many issues that I have basically parked it at this point. The dealer experience has been annoying and down outright dangerous. Lastly and even worse than the bike and the dealer has been the experience with Piaggio Group. Other than that, it's been great :)

To be honest, I know people swear by that bike/company and many have had good experiences, but I will never deal with them again.
 
I read that you ordered the S, ABS and full exhaust. I take it the tricolore does not have the full system otherwise it would be the same minus the paint job and the GPS? Am I correct?
 
That is correct, the Tricolore has the slip on only. The header pipes can be ordered separately. The full system is about $3.5K and I am guessing the slip on is about $1.5K. The prices for the accessories, including the exhaust system has not been finalized, but I believe these are close to what they will cost.

Also, from what I am told the accessories for the 1199 will only be shipped once this year with the initial order of the dealer. Hence, dealers have to carry the inventory. That's why I pre-ordered the full exhaust too.
 
re map ??

Did your dealer explain whether they had to do any re-mapping of the ECU to match the exhaust flow pattern change ?
 
Yes it does require a new map, most probably just a download. Not sure at this point if there are separate maps for just the slip on vs. the whole system.
 
Congrats on the order! The 1199 looks better each time I look at it. You must be so excited!

Congrats. You are going to love it. Take the time to get your suspension dialed in, it will make a world of difference
