I love the look of the double under tail exhaust that is used of the FE and supperleggera. Was wondering if one of these would fit a 1299s? I've searched and i can't find a single person that has done this. But could be wrong

It’s the same bike so should bolt right up. But might need some extra brackets or what not.

All day long and twice on Sunday. [emoji41]
Make me an offer, I will buy the race system.
Only negative with a full system would be at Laguna Seca. With the OEM system I have the inner deflectors pointed away from the sound booth. Can hit turn 5 to 6 without backing off at all. It's the ONLY PLACE on the track I can pass ........ timing. LoL.

Hey guys I'm new to the Forum and recently purchased a 2016 1299s, I want to purchase the akrapovic fe full exhaust and have an opportunity to purchase one, just wondering about fitment issues, i did a search and haven't been able to find any photos of someone who had done this before, just one forum member mentioning that it could be done but no photos, can anyone point me in the right direction

No worries. Just for reference, you should really consider tuning the bike after the install. I didn't and I had a small fire (oil sump guard) as the bike ran rich, carbonized the cats, melted the internals and the radiant heat ignited the plastic guard. I know the 1299 has a SS cover over the plastic guard, but still....

Also get some high temp loctitie. The clamps that connect the vertical pipe from the cans is a piece of .... design and will vibrate loose and its an b++ch to get a spanner and hands to once installed.

hey Jock, I was thinking of going with a brentuning flash or a rapid bike kit, what did you use for your setup? Also I just wanted to show you the exhaust I bought because the Fe exhaust is a little bit different than the exhaust that I have so I just wanted to make sure you were using the same one.

Hi mate,

My apologies, I thought you were getting the FE edition with the cans. The dimensions of the 1299 are 99% the same as the 1199. It will fit no worries, BUT there are a few things:

1. Make sure you get the UPMap stick for this bike,
2. Make sure you get the lower fairing (or it might look like .... from the side).
3. You'll need to get the CF heat shield as it has the supports that hold the exhaust in the correct position. Ducati Omaha sell they, or I got mine from ebay (approx. $700AU).

I had already purchased Tuneboy years ago and the tuner I used in Australia was familiar/experience with their product.

This is from the website

Ducati 1299 Panigale R FE Akrapovic Racing Exhaust
Exclusively developed by Akrapovič for 1299 Panigale R Final Edition, it is the most advanced complete racing exhaust system available on the market. Each section of the system is manufactured in a special Titanium alloy, with TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, which is both lightweight and resistant to high temperatures. The dedicated exhaust system adds a legendary sound to the twin cylinder by Ducati. The dedicated racing mapping significantly increases bike performance. System is designed in such a way to allow using the side stand; the lower carbon side fairings, with dedicated livery, are supplied with the bike.

Hey Jock, when i chatted with the Ducati dealer he told me it includes everything and sent me a photo of everything, it does come with the up-map, he mentioned the up-map would be 90-95% correct for my S, but is really ment to be for an R, he suggested as well that i get some dyno tuning to make it run better. I should receive my package soon and will post some pics, i called a local ducati shop here as well and they will be installing it, i will try to document the install and post what i can.

Hello,
New here. I am the proud owner of a 2016 1299 S and I've recently installed the VanDemon exhaust. It's very high quality, sounds great, produces the same power as the Akra and only costs $2100.00.

It sounds really mean, but it's not deafening like some other systems out there.

Here it is guys, so had this installed with the upmap that came with it and it definitely needs some tuning, there is a slight hesitation when rolling on the throttle in 3, 4, 5, from around 3-3500 rpm, i haven't had the chance to open it up but will this weekend i will and report back, there were a few parts i had to order for mounting the heat shield, cost about 250cad, when sitting on the bike the exhaust doesn't sound as loud anymore because it's exiting out of the back, cruising down the highway definitely wasn't as loud. I had a friend rev the engine while standing behind it and oh man is it ever loud definitely a lot louder than before, the videos on YouTube don't do it any justice you got to hear this thing in person.
