Curious to know if any of you have started trying to work your dealer on a price for your new 1299 or new Panigale R.

I spoke to one out of state dealership who said he will give me $750 off MSRP on a base, $1,000 off an S, and $1,250 off the single R he has coming in.

I'll hold off, obviously because I still have my HP4, but aso because as the months go on I'm sure they'll be crying to sell 1299's like they're crying to move the existing 1199's that are being offered for $3,000+ off MSRP and no destination/freight fees.

Have you found anything better??

I've got months to decide what bike I want to buy, and can't do anything until the BMW sells anyway.

I'm torn between all 3 models. My senses say go with a base and just replace suspension with Ohlins and BST carbon wheels, or go with the S, but I'm not so sure I'd like the active suspension on the track as this will be a full time track machine next summer. ...and being only an intermediate track rider I'd have a hard time justifying a new R to myself.

Any input is appreciated.

i'd say no matter what you buy, part it out and sell .... for cheap to me :D :D :D

dibs on exhaust and tires ;)

on a serious note, what are you looking to get out of the bike?

i mean, the event based suspension on the S will be super sweet, but for standard riding and occasional tracking, the base plus susp. and wheels will get you a killer bike.

Basically MSRP at first, but it will drop my local still has leftover 1199s for $22k. Sometime in the beginning of the new year dealers will add dealer bucks on top of it plus Ducati will drop them even more.

Honestly you have a superb track bike in the HP4 already. But you'll spend the same buying the base model and track upgrades as you would buying the Panigale R to start with. So buy the R and add a few bits and flog it hard like it was meant to be.

I will need to stop paying attention to this closer to September... but subscribed to see what others find out.

buy a 675R you will be faster around the NE tracks on it especially at your level.

Regarding deals i'm surprized they are actually offering anything off the 1299.

the other alternative is just track the hp4 as it's a tough bike to get out of and it's great on the track.

1299 - $19,295
1299S -$24,995
Panigale R -$33,995

$5,700 difference between the 1299 and 1299 S.

you probably could get these a lot cheaper but current retail price:
FGRT203 -$2,299
TTX-GP $1,458
BST Front $1,425
BST Rear $1,875

for $1357 more than the S I would do it all over again and get the base and upgrade you would have a better handling bike than the S. Not to mention you can get 10% off for being a member ;)

buy my 675R!

It is a 2012 AMA bike with almost 40k into it. Needs some small work,to be perfect and I will make killer deal on it.

Pm me if interested

Forgot to mention can you ping me the details as i might be able to get you a buyer.

I just put a deposit down on my 1299S at Cyclewise Ducati in Vermont. I got it for 24995+ 90 dollar doc fee..They waived the 800 shipping and prep fee. They stated April delivery.. My 15th new bike and this will be my 1st Ducati..The first twin I bought was the KTM 1290 Super Duke last year and I really like the power delivery compared to the I-4. I also rode my friends 899 and his 1098 last year on the track and loved them..
