I first noticed these clip-ons when playing with the configurator for the new V2, which stock comes with bars that have a riser. These are a $750 option and appear to be CNC from one piece of metal, which explains the cost. I suppose they'd be lighter.

Yes seems like way to factory for a civilian race clip on. I think the spider bars are like $90 for a pair…

My thoughts too, this a gucci addon for the starbucks n' stickers crowd at 750 a crash! Most clubbies are at the woodcraft end of the scale and you'd be surprised at the amount of chinesium pegs, levers, fairings etc out there! Still think its going to be a great bike and a very good powerplant which we will see in a few models

I am not sure that teams will be rafting these - the 955 is homologated for the next few years

I actually think Woodcraft makes the best clipons period, regardless of price point.

Super cool post Karl, thanks for doing it.

With regard to the new KTM it looks really sexy, but unless you want a watered down version of the RC 8C or Kramer GP2 890RR I was told by Kramer to steer clear if it…it weighs like 80 pounds more than the RC 8C and has a few less horse power and lower spec suspension parts etc.

And will likely cost close to what you can find a VERY low mileage real RC 8C for.

The RC 8C was the halo bike produced to prep the masses for a watered down street homages version. That you can convert back to a track only street homologated bike.

I think I’d take my RC 8C over any bike on the market right now in a middleweight bike…but between that 890R and the new V2 I think the Ducati is the one I’d go with. If I didn’t have an RC 8C which is still a better bike than the new V2 I’d get the new V2.
