1299 Rims - 1199 rims

Does anyone know if the 1199/1299 wheels are compatible?

I love the 1299 Anniversario gold wheels and found their part numbers. If the same looking to purchase a set and fit to a 2012 1199S.

Other than the color, aren't the original wheels the same design?

If so, why not just powder coat or Cerakote your original wheels to that same gold color?

Its quite weird, but the anni gold wheels are actually a little bit cheaper than the standard
black ones. I only found this out when trying to order a spare set for the track, but then
ended up with some good second hand ones instead.
Who knows why Ducati price them the way they do. Even with the gold anni rims, they are so overpriced compared to aftermarket Marchesinis or Oz stuff.

I am not a fan of 'altering ' the bike OEM parts. I prefer to buy either upgraded replacement parts and keep all my original stuff or buy a second set and alter.......just me.
