1299 throttle issue

Anyone had a problem with the throttle on the 1299, it was OK on start up then a while later a twist and nothing, threw an engine amber dash light on, the cut out, fired up again amber engine light on but running but sounds a bit off balance, wonder it the TPS needs a rest after some sort of glitch, I don't have the cable yet for the diag, just wondering if anyone else came across, this is an SL and was always lumpy low down and I maybe paranoid about the sound, but the dash light is still on and normally if a MAP goes once replaced the light goes out, so if the TPS is OK now I figured the amber engine light would go out, but on the other hand maybe the TPS needs a reset. Its not in the UK and my local dealer sucks or yes I would have just gone in, but when I called just to check the TPS mid July they said August! And yes I will piss and moan to Ducati about service back up!

The TPS is reset on every POST (power on self test). The TPS is not available as a separate item so if it goes bad, Ducati will ding you for a whole throttle body assembly. I have a bunch of spare TPS sensors so if you find you have a bad one, shoot me a PM and I will send you one

Thanks for the kind answers, it could be that the bike is running OK because the throttle works and I think I have a server case of paranoia, its just the dash engine light is on, but doesn’t throw the big warning on the dash, maybe if the faults were cleared it would go out and my paranoia would also go away, thanks for the parts offer but Im in Europe.
On this bike, SL, the clutch makes the engine noisy on idle, the cable will come soon and I can hook it up to Melcodiag and maybe that can clear this.

En esta moto, SL, el embrague hace que el motor haga ruido al ralentí, el cable llegará pronto y puedo conectarlo a Melcodiag y tal vez eso pueda solucionar est

hola a mi me paso con los sensores map de daba fallos un fijo y el otro intermitente cambie uno y la moto funcionaba bien pero el fallo en el tablero seguia y cambie el otro y se quito si sigue es porque falla algo seguro saludos desde españa

I ran the bike up to working temp and amber lamp has gone out on the next start up cycle, along with my paranoia!
so I-reckon you are right that it resets itself, but needed to get to working temp, I read that here on another post that the dealer told the guy to runthe bike to working temp to see if it solved the problem, so I guy all the parameters are only met at that point. this is useful info for everyone I reckon. Thank you my man, I have had many MAP sensors go on both my 1199 and SL, this fault has been different and it was just a TPS glitch. Hope it translates OK!
