1299 update with Anniversario software

Once my Anni never arrived I asked my dealer if latest produced 1299s will be upgraded with new software. I was told that it won't happen and in the beginning of 2017 there will be some break in production of Panigales due to Euro 4 regulation and its implementation....
Does anyone has 2017 1299 Panigale?

We bought my wife's bike in 2016 does that count as a 2017 model? Most dealers are promoting their 2016 as 2017 so i guess ours is also a 2017 model ;)

Guys we took both our bikes in and got free software update at the dealership - my main concern is the dash board :( it's faulty and we could be waiting at least 6 months for a new one to come from Italy :(

Just clicked on this thread, yes what I stated before is all still true.

HOWEVER one thing I previously said, is no longer true, and I apologize for that (though it's not my fault). It looks like they are in fact gonna charge you guys for the update.

Initially that was not the plan, which is why I said it would be free. But somebody up top changed their mind on that one.

As I'm not with Ducati any more I don't know what the cost or timing will be, sorry about that.

updates are never free come on man had the bike since 12 every time an update came out you paid. simple as that. welcome to ducati. it literally takes 5 min to do they charge you 30 min again depends on your dealer.

buying 2 bikes usually gets u a free update. congrats

Guys my Anniversario as we know has the Evo program. With the Akra slipons and upmap it only says Race.
You won't have the dash reading any different with the Evo update than it already does. So alpha m might have gotten it, he'll have to check with his dealer which update he got.

The dash should only say, "race evo" if you have the full system and upmap I believe

Ah, that makes total sense. I didn't have the Anni long before the complete system and upmap were installed. Just so use to seeing it pop up.

As far as I know all bikes produced after September 2016 should be counted as 2017 model. I am not sure how Ducati count it but my dealer told me that they have only Panigale 1299s 2016 model...

from what I know no 2017 yet (the 2017 Euro4 rumor has to many ???'s)

by the way I think the Anni in the US is a MY2017 but in Europe its a MY2016.

Because my last name isn't Rossi I have no f*cking clue what benefits this will give me....... arrive at the coffee shop 0.2 seconds sooner?

Well that's a bummer. Was cool having first hand knowledge/help for the Panigale and Hypermotard. Didn't get the memo. Did you move on to better things that you can talk about?

Moved to England, still in the industry, doing product strategy for a different OEM now. No, not that one :)

I'll always have a soft spot for Ducatis, but my new role and company environment are much better and I've come to learn that's what counts. Anyway I'm thinking about picking up a 1299 myself, so I may be sticking around here and joining you guys from 'the other side' :D

Well believe it or not, the initial plan was to not charge for it. Welcome to Ducati yourself.

Where about in the fair isle have you moved to? Also totally the wrong time of year to move. We have just gone from summer to winter! Should of come around march to June which is traditionally the winter to summer change over. Joking aside Hope you enjoy your time here anyway!
