I've though about getting one too...looks like it'd be a kick in the pants!

you wouldn't believe how much fun is to be had on 8HP. :D

I had a ninja 250 when I had my 1098, the 250 was definitely more fun in the twistes.

I've been craving one of those for a track toy....every time I watch Moto3, I start thinking I need me an RC390...

Impressive! At a top speed of 177 kmph you can go coast to coast in the US in about 1 minute and 20 seconds or circumnavigate the earth 7x in an hour.

Makes Panigale's look silly.

I had a couple of track days on the 390 Duke last weekend after my Pani dumped its coolant on the first session. I had a BLAST on that little thing. Lots of fun.

this is KTM new cash cow on road going model, as far as i know, they are making a ADV version of this, so no reason this would be discontinue,

if you are talking about the successor of the RC8 then that is a different story

Nice!! Congratulations...I was waiting for the bike to come to the US since they announced it in Austria...I picked up one the second my dealer got the crate in...

Haven't ridden it yet though as it is currently being built for the track...can't wait to take it around Barber...

And maybe Chris can even teach me how to ride it... :D

Tell us more please. You insinuate that the model will no longer be produced.

I'm the biggest KTM dealership in my state and third biggest in the country. KTM will not be discontinuing the RC390 anytime soon. It's Australia's second biggest selling sports bike in the country behind the Ninja 300.

Really fun bikes that the market needed. The cup/track versions are crazy cool and super cheap too.

I don't own a 390; but, when my 1199 dumped its coolant during the first session of a two-day track event my friend kindly lent me his brand new 390 Duke for the weekend.
I had a blast; it was a lot of fun on the tight, 1.8 mile track, particularly passing much bigger bikes in the corners.
Here are the photo proofs from the two days at the track.

And here are a few photos illustrating why you should set up your suspension with a proper spring for your weight BEFORE you bolt on that nice full exhaust system.
