So you're saying that the difference is in the engine mounting points? Therefore the only way to get the 1299 pivot point onto an 1199 is to swap engines? (Or buy the 1199R parts)

This is a conversation that I've been wanting to do for awhile but the 1199R parts are pricey for a few pieces of metal. I'd rather put that money towards suspension.

Yes, you can swap the engine for this, but the easier way is to use 1199R parts. I got all the parts for about $600 USD, $200 labor.

Here is the 1199 engine, please take a look for the swingarm mounting points.

this video gives you a quick overview on the task,
one tip is once you are ready to undo the original Swing arm 'axles' into the motor, i found that using an Allen Key from the back side, rather than a long Allen key bit socket, worked more successfully. as they are really tight if it hasn't been taken off from new.

i have another bike to modify with this kit over the next few months for a friend and will take some more detailed pictures of the process.

I gave the part numbers to the dealership and they hooked me up. Thanks a ton for providing this parts list! I am pretty excited to try this with the rake kit. Hope to install both at the same time.

its a fairly easy modification, i thing the 'difficult' bit is getting the bike in a safe and stable position when changing out the swingarm. good luck

Guys a whole year later and I just got my mods put on the bike. :-/. The -4mm pivot and the 24 degree rake kit. Good news is I LOVE IT. It feels like a totally different bike. It turns in way easier and changing directions is a LOT less work. Going to test it at the track in a few weekends. Thanks for the parts list guys!
