Does anyone know if this will be EPA compliant ? This bike is stupid and over priced and have no plans to buy it. But I am gonna ask nine million questions about it anyway :D

I think the carbon fibre is the real problem. if that stuff was so great mclaren would build their cars out of it . what kind of a pos would you have if you made your frame out of cf - that superleggera is a huge waist of money .

and anyone who disagrees with me I'm going to belittle you by saying you don't have a real job , I'll have my secretary set you up with a a headhunter and he will find you a real job so you can be rich and important like me.

Also I can build a much better bike in my basement in-between my binge COD sessions

rainbow colors. straight or gay, how you want them?

Ive never seen some one so butt hurt about a bike lol If he wasnt throwing away so much money on a 1299 i would honestly think he worked for some other manufacture and on a mission to defame Duc. He must be high or something to think his posts are just generic when its clear what his intentions are.

Gotta love it when people argue the benefits of CF when top hyper car builders are using it everywhere. Wheels are made of Cf on this POS One:1 - Koenigsegg | Koenigsegg

Saying you dont have a real job is border line lame but his post about living with mom and the other .... just really goes to show how juvenile this guy really is. $20 says hes going to say my mom wears army boots for posting this.

Panhandler. Your mother wears Army boots. However there are some bad ... army boots out there so it's not a bad thing. 20 bucks please. And not butt hurt at all. It's a nice bike.

that is one(/one) ugly a$$ car.......

so, they've been making cf rims for 1.5yrs now, have handmade at a cost of around a 1299SL per set, for a total of 20 sets to date, use a cream that has a little uv protection to finish it off, and how many miles does the average owner drive this eyesore? how many potholes on average does owner hit per mile traveled across how many total miles? and it takes several people to change a tire on this rim, over how many tire changes? this company did how many miles of testing on these cf rims? put them under what kind of stresses? i am sure they're safe enough across 4 wheels, though certainly impractical.

apples and oranges as the 1299SL rims are not quite like these, with teams of workers laying cf for days upon days per rim -- or do you think they're as over-engineered as these 1/1 rims are? 20 sets or 80 rims over 1.5yrs vs?

Hahaha some comical .... on here for sure.

I do kind of agree the SL is a waste of money. I built my 1199R for half the money and it's a better bike.

well, i think again, if you have 80 grand to burn, you better burn it properly, big fire, explosions. don't be too working-class and go DIY. just buy it. put on the matching suit and ride in italy.

done.

okay, that sounds fair enough, but, how about a new paint job to match its predecessor and get the old matching leathers and stitch in a "2" where the old "1" was? is that too DIY? and of course, a protective film on the cf swingarm, just in case.....

wait a minute.... McLaren are building their cars out of carbon fiber. So lets get some facts straight. I believe every car in the McLaren lineup has the carbon fiber chassis(mono cell), even the 570S. So its not the carbon fiber

Yeah - one of the design engineers at McLaren is a Ducati owner , and possibly on this forum . every time I read somebody on this forum start talking about their doubts on the structural integrity of a Carbon Fibre motorcycle frame I just know he is reading these post and shaking his head .

Carbon fiber used to have issues, they used to run the suspension bits of formula 1 cars and at certain frequencies on vibration they would disintegrate. Mind you this was early 2000's. They have come a very long way since then and the technology has immensely improved. Carbon fiber and carbon composites are the future.

why arent the rims and all the suspension parts cf then?

Composite materials are just that. The devil is in the details. Eisenhower and Custer were both Generals.
