I'll get it her out there. Don't worry. I am intrigued to see how she goes at my favorite track! I will wait for a track day during the week.

ive found that after 2 on a monday is great a lot of people are leaving to go home and the crashers have already crashed.

let me know what you think avid

Well the DOL made me plate the bike on transferring titles. $435......not happy with that as I wasn't planning on riding her on the streets.
So now I might need to take a short ride Sunday morning before I remove the fairing to replace the windscreen and the other stuff.

Or nay I'll just hang the plate made of gold in the garage.

My Man Twisted !!!!

This is truly a great piece of news to learn today brother!!

No doubt you are stoked and WELL should be too - Anyone with an R can be stoked no matter what IMHO. lol.

If the Old True Gunny ( I actually Retired a First Sergeant) But was a Gunny during my own racing years on Ducati's, had it on my leathers, and all the fellow riders knew me as such)

OH - forgot where the hell I was going with that dude! A Tip that I believe will assist you!

I have the exact same Ducabike Gas Cap-props out to ya - However as you know, the little Carbon Fiber Key (Which we only got 2 of) is sometimes a hinderance and IMHO definitely not conducive to track use. There is NO WAY you will "Easily" be able to gas up that R and think for one moment. During your race weekends, track days, etc/ With ALL the things you always MUST remember to bring / pack etc. - Losing those CF Keys to remove the Gas Cap will leave you dead in the water (Wrong sport I know) - though I know you can use a set of pliers if need be, but that tank should really remain dentless your entire life! LOL.

My 5 cents Twisted . Oh one more thing brother man???
DONE FORGET TO POST PICS OF YOU ON TRACK - HORIZONTALLY PREFFERED TOO! :)

Much thanks Gunny Fitz (real Gunny). You and I are on the same page here. The fuel cap came on the bike and I've got a spare key to leave in the tool box. But plans are to eventually change it for a Moto Corse or DP for no worries. Gunny my Ti leg is giving more and more bad days lately so the time to chase a last dream is now before it's too late. I gave up my Paul Smart (Jewel) to do this which was very hard for me to let go. I know my track and riding days are numbered so I'm even toying with letting my Anniversario go to chase this last dream.
Either way it's happening as we only live once and I don't want to be the person who looks back and says, " I wish I had done that". No Regrets.......Savor the Flavor.

I am speechless with admiration and the picture you paint with life my friend!

Should you have ANY questions regarding ANYTHING on this new venture of yours, I am within your reach for an assist. I more or less did it for these reasons back in early 2000s and would truly still be out there if I had not raised my hand! (Volunteering for Iraq)

Don't just "Chase" this dream of yours Sin, get it, grab it, hold onto it and rock it brother!

Gunny (Loved your "Real" adage as well Sin!) ;)

MAN- just looked the R over in detail (Good photos btw) and see you have a true base to start with - BIGTIME!
***Hey - if you are going to do anything to those Ohlin's let me know and I will hook you up with my cuz the "Thermosman" (Google that!)

Much appreciated Gunny. There are certain names that are known in the community and Thermosman is one of them.

Any idea where your bike got that ram mount ball on the tree? I couldn't find one like that.

No idea. It was on the bike already. I'll have to mount a high speed coffee holder since I don't have a GoPro. :D

Would love to hear your thoughts about how the R and the 1299 compare once you've logged some miles on the R

I'll see if I have enough time for a short ride Sunday to get a street impression before I remove the plates. Other than that impressions will be track based.
