Track only 18 v4s setup ...

Per Dave Moss I had my local suspension shop go to 10 weight oil and higher oil level. when the shop had the stock spring out of the front forks they said they could not see any part number on it. The only markings are a Roman numeral one and then a Roman numeral two - pic below.

I know the 18s theoretically had a 105 front spring however I've seen on The forum that is not always the case. Can anyone interpret this and tell me if I have a 105 front or something else?

listen kids.....im 270 pounds....I have 2020 v4s. all tricked out full akra, carbon fiber everything, every gadget u can think of.....If you adjust the electronic suspension on the v4s it will suit any weighted rider lol....u don't need to go as far as change the springs unless your in moto gp or SBK,, and im sure no one is on here....everyone just wants to be a race racer and do whatever GP guys do.......READ YOUR OWNDER MANUAL. it says the max weight that should be allowed on the bike including wet weight of the bike is around like 820 pounds.......

Could someone be more wrong?

When I saw that link and clicked on it. I didnt scroll all the way down. But when I saw your post I went back and saw he was the last person to comment. Im thinking to myself ok I dont think this dude understands anything about suspension. I am far from an expert on suspension. But I do know enough to dial in suspension as well as know that the oem springs on that dudes bike are not the correct ones lol. If he were to ride the exact same bike with the correct springs back to back with his bike. As well as have the suspension dialed in correctly for the first run. Then if he understands rebound and compression. He could have that dialed in. After riding he would retract his statement.

I installed a set of Ohlins front forks and a Ohlins DU 466 rear shock on my 1299. I told ohlins the spring rate I wanted. And I asked them if they could adjust the sag to my weight and where I wanted it. Once I installed the forks and rear shock I began to adjust the sag. I couldnt believe the sag on the forks and rear shock was off by 1mm from where I wanted them to be. So I just left it. As for the compression and rebound, Ohlins set that up almost perfectly as well. Since they set up everything very close to what I like I didnt have to keep playing with the suspension. Granted I did play around going up 2 and down 2. But thats way better that starting from scratch. What is this sorcery that Ohlins is capable of LOL

Öhlins
The 2018 V4S OEM spring rate is 10.5 N/mm.
Ducati changed 2020 to 10 N/mm.
Showa
The OEM V4 spring rate is 9.9 N/mm.
No change in 2020.
