Porsche's massive profit margin won't cover this one...the Cayman S is nice but holy rip, they must clear $30k on every one they sell, and the 911 Turbo

Time to buy nice 09-15 diesel 6-speed I'll pass on the recall, No emissions testing in MT

Footnote to those not aware of the huge issues of diesel trucks.

EPA with CA in the lead then followed by fedral mandate , starting in 06 USA diesel manufacturers were forced to meet standards which they did but with fragile system which works in a lab but on the road is nothing but the N0. 1 sources of breakdowns and costs made even worse since 2010 with DEF exhaust filters regeneration burning of exhaust gases , EGR & DEF fluid injection. Cat went with the own tech' ACERT it was so bad that with all the waranty claims they no longer make engines for the truck market
Then end result is that a pre 06 engine has 50% less fuel consumption than its modern 2015 equivalent.
So let's just think of that 6mpg down to 3mpg for vocational use trucks highway fare only a little better by around -2mpg so everything we buy at some point is transported by trucking this has increased the price of everything we buy. You can remove the this emissions equipment and that engine does not smoke modern common rail efi is that clean and the truck will almost double its fuel economy
HOW CLEAN CAN IT BE IF IT USES TWICE THE FUEL,,,,, ITS ALL A BIG GOV' SCAM
The engine Manu' should have stood up against the rules until it could be proven reliable and economic rather that fighting each other.
Obviously VW was in the wrong but don't believe the media its emissions does not go up anywhere near as high as they are stating and in fact there strategy improves fuel economy
I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg now rumors are flying that most the Euro car diesels may all have hidden strategies
