Hello Ducatisti,

I am one of the lucky ones I suppose.
The powers that be have rewarded me
with the right to pay for a R-SL.

I am honored. I believe the new platform
has proven to be a great motorcycle and
with the new 899's on the road, seems to
be a true replacement for the xx98 series.

I am reading the reviews here and since
you folks have also proven yourselves, I
thought I would come join your party. So,
Happy Two year birthday to this forum.

Glad to be here,

Andy

What amazes me above all else, is that for $65,000 they STILL can't put a GOOD god damn seat on this bike from the get-go. Pathetic.
$65K for a glorified R.
See the list on the other thread about what this bike doesn't have that it should....
Same ...... seat, same ...... rear sets, initial claim of 220 (I think??) horsepower was an outright lie...

Either way, I'm still hella impressed at the weight/power. Absolutely unreal.

If you have the disposable income, ride because the way a SBK challenges you, are an adrenaline junkie and love to wake up to the company of an awesome looking lady......what the heck are you waiting for man? :D

Seriously do you ever have anything good to say??
It's getting boring

Looking forward to hearing about the bike, I'm sure it will be awesome, has your dealer told you when you should expect delivery.

There is a reason for hard seats on a race/track bike. For people who want a plush seat they do offer the comfort seat.

Man I hate to see you people try to ride and review a WBSK or a MOTO GP bike. There will be nothing but complaints on the worlds most advance bikes.

Anyways welcome and SL all the way. It will be the closest production bike every produced to a WSBK bike.

Do you even own an 1199? If so, do you even ride it?
It will get old when the bike stops falling apart...I dont see that happening anytime soon.

Here's an old adage for you White13pani....

fool me once shame on you... fool me twice shame on me ;)

Btw... Ducati QA must have improved, starting with mine. 7000+kms and not a thing has fallen off.
Although I did have her stall at 60km/h once... I pulled over and began carrying on like a porkchop, cursing and swearing when she refused to fire up again....

Then I checked the fuel tank... and guess what??? <--- does this count as something to bitch about?? I'm mean c'mon... It may be the closest thing to a race bike, but it's still sold as a road bike. What were they thinking not including an accurate fuel gauge.

Yep

1199r, 1098r bayliss, 748r, diavel, and other non Ducati bikes

For what it's worth I cover about 10k per year on my bikes both street and track

So what's your point???

The point is that his bike sucks. And he makes it ad nauseum until it's become pointless.
