Hey, I am brand new to the site and hope someone can help point me in the right direction. I have a 2010 Multistrada 1200 that has 33k on it. I bought the bike 3 years ago with 5k on it. I've never had any issues.
Recently while I was cruising down the highway and shifting into 6th my clutch lever locked up and will no longer pull in. As I let the clutch out after shifting, something felt strange in the clutch almost like a click as I let the clutch out. I immediately tried to pull the hydraulic clutch back in and the lever was very stiff and would not budge. The clutch lever is locked in place all the way out. I was able to make it home to my garage with no clutch roughly 15 miles with no issues (luckily didnt catch a red light).
The first thing I did was tried to replace the slave cylinder, then the master cylinder. After properly bleeding the line on both ends, the clutch still will not pull in. This seems to be an internal issue. It seems the push pin the master cylinder pushes to engage the clutch has seized up. The bike will start and rev/idle fine with no grinding sounds at all. Before I tear apart the clutch, has anyone ever heard of this issue or can point me in the right direction of what the issue might be? Thanks!!
