Hi everyone! Hope this forum is a great place to learn and eventually share what I know as well. I'm in my 40's and have owned a Triumph, MV Agusta and now a 2012 1199 S Tricolore recently. I enjoy doing my own work on the bike but it is also because the nearest dealership is 3 hours away. I enjoy technical riding and the twisties. The group I ride with is generally my age and we all share in enjoying all bikes but in particular European brands.

Welcome! I'm new to the Pani myself but favor European brands as well. I have a KTM alongside my Pani and owned a couple of Speed Triples in the past.

Where in the US are you?

Mostly from the NY area but work has me in Memphis at this time. I hope that Triumph puts out a Daytona with the 765 engine. I really do love 3 cylinder engines. The reverse crank 3 cylinder of the MV Agusta F3 is so well balanced just like the Street Triple was. I made a deliberate choice though in riding a motor with a very different characteristic like the 1199. Hoping to add that layer of skill to my riding.

Previous owner had this bike as a garage queen. Practically new! Won't be a garage queen for me. I replaced the Ducati Performance comfort seat. It placed me on top of the bike instead of in the bike. Too much weight on my wrists and no feeling of connection with the front end. Now with the stock seat placing me lower I feel the way I did on the MV. I now feel connected to the front with my hands and connected to the rear with my feet/legs/thighs. Sliding isn't so much an issue since I ride with full leathers. Seems to grip the seat just fine.

Welcome, pretty sure we have crossed paths on the either Triumph or MV forums.

Being an owner of modded 2011 675R and 2015 F3 800, I can attest to what your saying about each bike, unique in its own way.

The 1199 has some serious balls, as you well know and will be a handful compared to the other bikes you mentioned, especially on track.
