2012 1199S leaking puddles of fuel when starter is pressed, no start!

Quick update, Gotham Cycles on eBay has metal (chromed brass I think?) quick-disconnect gas tank to fuel line fittings for the Panigale series. I just bought a set for my 1199.

A search on eBay will find them. Replacing the cheap plastic parts from the factory.

Reviving this post as I had the same issue today while out riding the twisties. Filled up with gas on the way home the bike died a couple of kms up the road. Pulled to the side of the road to a puddle of gas. 80km from home had to get the bike transported back home. After inspection found the leak from the injector that wasn’t fully seated. I suspect this was my fault as replaced the air filter about a month ago. The strange thing is it took this long and this ride for it to leak. I hope this was my fault and not some kind of design fault. I suspect it is a ‘me’ fault. If so it was an expensive mistake on my part. The alternative is much worse though I hope this doesn’t happen again.
