I have had my 1199 Panigale for about 2 years now. Don't get to spend as much time on it/with it as I like, but last few months has given me more of chance to hang out in garage. While recently working on battery replacement, I realized that hydraulic clutch line and two electrical cable bundles to left bar are routed wrong way around left fork tube. They currently come off front clipon and go on left side of left fork tube (looking toward front of bike) and are getting pinched (not seriously I hope) between left fork tube and inner side of fairing. They should go on right side of fork tube up against frame, correct? Like on right side where brake line, wiring goes left of fork tube. (if you all can't figure out the description, I'll try to take some pics).

I purchased used and previous owner said he had front fork seals replaced... I bet they routed those lines incorrectly after that service.

Questions: 1st, would there be a reason to route like this, and I am wrong in my assessment.? 2nd, Is best way to fix to unhook the electrical connections (fairly easy), and the clutch line (a bit of pain). I was thinking of pulling the front forks, but that is more work right?

Appreciate any help.

Just loosen the fork pull it down and do what you want with the loom rather than disconnecting anything

Thanks for reply. Dropping front forks really easier that disconnecting those cables? Ok... will look at the "breaking it down" video on fork removal.

Just one fork, hang it from the triples from the rafters or ladder pull the wheel off and unbolt one fork and slide it down enough to do the business.
