In the case of the Anniversario, no. But according to my dealer they had to perform the install of the full system and upmap to keep the warranty in tact.

I've seen dealers install rapidbike and rexxer flashes.. curious what will happen when a 20k warranty claim comes up.

This has been told time and time again and is false. The dealer does not have to be the ones that do the install.

I did my own install and still have a warranty.

That may be true but since the next closest dealer is miles away, I didn't want there to be a question if there was ever a warranty claim.

I think that should be fine as they have installed lithium batteries in some of their bikes . Check with your dealer maybe .

A lot of it depends on the dealer - he can make it easy or impossible.
