R here?! CPU, where are you at? Sydney? I wasn't expecting to see the R already. My dealer says my S is one of the first and is due later this week or early next and that the first R into Melbourne is due 10 June. But then, their previous advice has been wrong so I take everything they say with a grain of salt.

That's gotta be exciting CPU. I hope a few bikes continue past Goulburn down the Hume to land in Melbourne. Maybe I'll be riding soon after all.

Hey CPU, is that R of yours gonna be track or road bike? Have you organised insurance yet? Any tips?

what Chaz Davies says about it (from his FB)

Yesterday was too much fun ripping around Imola on the ‪#‎Ducati‬ ‪#‎Panigale‬ R road bike. Such a capable bit of kit and a lot of fun to ride. In full road trim including tyres my lap times would have easily qualified for the @WorldSBK grid. Really cool to see some of the trick stuff I've helped develop transfer though to the production line and keep you road riders happy! Thanks @DucatiMotor for allowing me to play

It will be for street use and a few track days. In regards to insurance I found NRMA to be the cheapest but QBE will price match.

Try Beyond Bank, they will quote motorcycle insurance even if you are not a bank member, they were many many hundreds cheaper than the next closest on my 14R

Took my R out after first service, you are in for a treat, I can't even explain how good it is, you just have to take my word for it and your own experience......... It's epic

Congrats!

You must be stoaked. Yeah try lumleys I found them the cheapest with my 2014 R. Agreed value and cost me $1100 a year. Only downside with them is you only get $2500 for your gear.

Insurance

Seriously, all Australians should check with Beyond Bank for motorcycle insurance, almost guaranteed to be best cost

Might have to check them out, always one for a deal on insurance, they will have to do well to beat Lumleys, $380-00 for my 2013 S with the mods covered. They're always quick to take the cash, never that way on payout though.

Thanks for the tip Butt.

i got that price last year, and I am mid 40's so that may affect the price they offer, will try Beyond Bank though.
