I'll be taking my locals 15S for a good ride soon but my 15R wont be in for a while to compare it to but can compare it to my 14R.

Matter of opinion.

I think the regular mechanical ohlins are better because they are lighter and have a better range of adjustment over the electronic suspension. But I haven't ridden the S and felt the new event based setup they have. I've ridden with semi active suspension on many bike from different brands and to be honest I don't like it very much because it isn't consistent. But that's just my opinion everyone feels about it differently.

On another note deposit down on my new R today! But I have to wait until August. We are only getting 25 for the whole country this year. Not easy to get my hands on one. Oh well, plenty of time to save up for kids I guess.

I prefer the mechanical set up over the electronic any day............. besides, ever since I bought it I've been riding with a semi active anyways!! :D :D :D

Congrats though, you will not be disappointed
