This morning I dropped off my 2012 1199 for a refresh for 2016. The work will be performed by Sebastian Didato, owner of Melillimoto Ducati. I believe the bike will be dyno'ed today since Adam (Ducati tech) was dynoing bikes today. Then it will be disassembled. What we have planned so far:

Exhaust:
- New Termignoni titanium/carbon full system - (Bellissimoto)
- RapidBike Mytune with Wideband 02 sensors - (Cycle Pro/RapidBike)

Engine - All engine work and re-assembly by Melillimoto Ducati in Ocala, FL
- Blue printed engine
- Head work
- Transmission work
- Lighten, Magnaflux, Balance Crankshaft - (Ben Fox)
- New head gaskets, bearings misc......
- Degree Camshafts
- Connecting rods - (CP-Carrillo)

Misc parts:
- Replacing front and rear sprockets - (Bellissimoto)
- DID 520 EVR3 chain
- Samco hoses - (Bellissimoto)
- BSD autoblipper
- Quick release front axle - (Fast Frank)
- RDP X-Race Titanium brake pads - (DP)
- Sharkskinz paint refresh - (CCR by Sean)

I'm in talks with two new sponsors and if everything goes through, I will be adding to this list of off season products. I may also add some rearsets to the list, so if you have some suggestions, I'm open to them. I also need some feedback on race fuel. I wanted to go with U4.4, but I'm not interested in spending the money if I'm only going to see a 3hp bump in performance. Is MR12 and option? Positive and negatives? Hopefully we should be back up and running soon. I try to take pics and document everything I can.

MR12 is more expensive than 4.4. I'm actually not sure if the gains of MR12 vs 4.4 are worth it on the Pangiale or not. I know in older, slow revving twins it wasn't always a huge advantage like it usually is an inline 4. MR12 is some nasty stuff if you leave it overnight in the tank though. Corrodes damn near everything and should be drained immediately. 4.4 is slightly better, but still pretty bad in this regard. On my old built out Honda I ran C12 cut with non-ethanol pump to get the octane where I needed it for practice days and 4.4 for racing. There was a few HP bump for going MR12, but at the time it was over 25 bucks a gallon vs 16 or so.

ETA: MR12 smells the best though =)

We may just tune with T4. I don't know. If we can get a really good tune with pump/T4 and a very linear power curve, I'd be happy with that. Lets see what happens.

Nice, excited for you. I'd love to do something like this but no one wants to buy my wife and kids off me!!

One thing, I seriously wouldn't bother with Samco hoses. From my experience and a couple of other people, including my dealer who has a leaky Panigale he's trying to sell, they're not worth it. Sure other people's experiences might be better, but I'm just sharing mine.

Good luck and enjoy

I read some of the stories regarding the samco hoses. I'm still 50/50 on doing it. It's on this list.

Leon that is going to be one incredible bike dude.. I can't wait to see the end result.. Keep it posted..

Super cooool! Would love to see pictures during the build phase!

I asked Adam to take as many pics as possible. Melillimoto is 1.5 hrs away from me, so I cant run up there all the time. I will do the best I can.
