Ok, I think I am missing something...do these OEM FE pipes retrofit to other Pani's? I thought they were a one-year one fit....I have full Akra on mine and love it, but the previous owner literally threw away old pipes.....I just want them to have an "as was" type of vibe.....

I guess they are desirable because they only come on FE and SL. The full Akropovic race exhaust in the same dual can look is over 5k. And I had several responses to buy mine, so you can probably sell for good money also.

Well, we will see. I knew the SL set up the same but had a kickstand relief variation....the FE did not. Actually different P/N's. I am sure there is a set of stock pipes out there...I am not in a rush at all. :)

Man, the scammers are out on this one....and not quite subtle.... "I have might be your looking for....good condition nice price please call" and on and on..... :-(

My exhaust only has 500 miles. Has to be worth $3500

Ok, that made me laugh.....good on ya and I am jealous.... I will find a set. :)

A scammer sent me a note saying he had one "new in box" from his bike and pictures showed one that had been cut out of a bike.....dear lord scammers are stoooopid.

Hey guys.
Just bought a 1299fe used that only has 8 miles on it! Going to be a couple weeks before it's delivered and I'm excited.

How big a difference does the slmost $6k race exhaust make? Is it possible to install the upmap from home that it comes with? I don't have a dealer nearby.

Thought about going after a v4, but I kind of want something more raw and visceral.

Dude, DM me...I saw your bike at I-90 in Issaquah . Small world story to tell. All good. That bike is perfect!!

No idea if upmap is possible DIY. The exhaust install alone is 10 hrs shop time. You almost disassemble the bike.

It makes a huge difference in midrange and throttle response.

You picked the perfect raw and visceral bike. It’ll rip your head off.

Yeah wasn't sure if it would be doable. I know bren tune offers a hand held tuner as well. Anyone know if their tune is better than the upmap provided with the exhaust? I've been quite impressed with their tune on my Hp4.

I honestly don't mind installing the exhaust. I kind of enjoy that type of thing. It's mostly just the ability to tune it afterward since I live remotely.

I'll be anxious to feel the difference between the 1199 and the 1299r motor!

Bren tuning doesn't have the best of reputation for panigales. Plenty of info on this forum about their so called tune which is basically an upmap.

Now, granted I have been restoring and wrenching on Cagiva era bikes, and have no fear going down to the frame and back up on those, I FEAR the Pani!! There is so much going on within those bikes, and the fit, finish, and tolerances are just insane. It is not that I probably couldn't do it, but without a walkthrough, or a hint of training on those bikes, I would be wrenching a bit blind.... I honestly will pay most things done on my Pani. I will know it is a solid job instead of a steep learning curve for me....

These bikes are very simple to pull apart. On the weekend I got the exhaust off my 1199 in exactly 1 hour (had to or the welder wouldn't have been able to do the bungs). They look much worse than than they are. Mostly there's just more screws than Jap bikes. Yes half the bike comes apart, but it's only 4 bolts and a couple of plugs for the subframe.

Definitely wasn't necessary to break down that much of the bike. Sure it makes things easier but i only removed side fairings when i installed mine what seems like many many years ago.
