2019-2020 Hypermotard Recall

Already changed to a lithium battery so probably recall won't work for me. Was hoping is was for the stalling issue. Thanks for posting though. I will have a loot and see you my cable routing looks.

Are you also having the stalling issue?

My 950 SP stalls a few times when cold but not when warm. Am worried it will start to get worse but for now it is tolerable.
I had about 1200 miles on 2020 SP when the stalling started. I am hopeful that they have this figured out by now. My service writer had a pretty so what response to the issue. He was mainly concerned that I new that I would be paying up front for the repairs. Then Ducati would decide if it was a warranty issue. Not impressed so far when they now they have an issue. It’s such a fun bike to play on, hopefully this does not sour the experience. Thank you to everyone for all postings of your repair experiences.

HyperSP. I've had the stalling issue "fixed" twice since I've owned my 2019 950SP. The throttle bodies were replaced in Sept. 2019 and the bike ran good until October 2020 when the problem developed again. Ducati instructed the dealer to replace the fuel tank. Apparently the fuel tank is deteriorating and slowly leaving deposits on the throttle blades and throttle body walls. This causes the blades to not close properly and cause stalling when closing the throttle. I was told by the dealer that the new tank comes from a different manufacturer. My bike has the Termi full race system and I run 91 non ethanol fuel. I'm in upstate NY so I won't be riding again until April/May 2021. I'll update then. Hope this helps.

Is there an official recall on this issue? What dealer did you use if you don't mind sharing. HVMC?

I wonder why only some folks are having these problems if the tank material is subpar.

Thanks for posting.

Any problems with the new tank?

I wonder why the deterioration of the stock tank was not a universal problem on all the bikes and why no recall?

Yo @Pard, long time no see. Just bought an SP to join the R, keeping the R for when the track temps are perfect, then chasing my kid around on the Hyper when the stars aren't aligned. Did a bit of a marketing deal with HVMC so will have an SP with RVE plastics, full Termi, Ducabike rearsets, + some other goodies. You hitting NYST at all this summer? Was supposed to be there this weekend but the weather is a bust.

Howdy Kev! Congratulations on the sweet 950. Great bike. Was considering trading mine in toward a v4 streetfighter, but after a test ride, decided I prefer the hyper!

Hope to make it to NYST this summer.

Been going to NJMP using my R6 on the track. I did a YCRS 3 day training at Indie in AZ this past winter. Pretty much private coaching on an empty track. They had data on the R6 I was riding so I was able to really improve my times.

Hyper is my favorite street bike and R6 for the track this season.
