Looking to install the full Akrapovic exhaust system on my 2019 Panigale V4S and would like to get some feedback, helpful tips and lessons learned about the installation. I haven't torn my bike down to the extent in which it will need to be torn down in order to install the exhaust but I have seen a few videos and feel I am capable of doing it myself. What specialty tools are a must? Are there any parts not included with the exhaust that will be needed? And last but not least If you guys could also let me know your experiences with tuning/flashing the bike after the installation and what you think would be the best option that would be dope.

Replace the gaskets and get a 8mm socket with a built in swivel.

If the engine has low miles I wouldn't replace the nuts that hold the manifolds on. But, if the engine has saw high heat I would. They are cheap.

Some guys add silicone to the old gaskets and I've saw dealership techs doing the same. I don't think this is good practice. The bikes are not assembled this way from the factory. Replace the gaskets and don't add silicone. If your gaskets are in very good condition and the bike has low miles, use your judgement but don't slather it in high temp RTV.

Check with your dealer about getting the Akra map flash. Mine wanted a bunch of nonsense since they didn't install it. Basically I would have had to remove the mirrors, tape the lights, trailer the bike etc so they could prove to Ducati that it wasn't a street bike...which is utter BS since if they installed it for $1k, I would only have to sign a waiver which said it was a off road only bike.

I ended up buying a T-800 and flashing it myself. There's a few threads on this forum about that but the T-800 has the added benefit of being able to read and clear check engine lights. You can also flash it back to stock if you want but be aware that the ECU tracks how many times its been flashed.

Is there a limit on how many times you can flash an ECU?

Thanks for the advice!
