My dealer said 6 months and 600 miles before they are permitted to sell the demo bikes.
Then it would be worthwhile for me to wait until 2021 and pick up a base V4. Unless I want the V4S suspension it would be less expensive for me to pick up the base V4, and upgrade the bike to how I want it to be.
Full LEDs on both models?
I swapped out my yellow ugly bulbs for LED bulbs. And I also did the low beam cure on my 1299 like I did on my S1000R and S1000RR. On the 2 BMW models, the low beam right side would be on when in low beam. And the left side high beam would be on in high beam. I changed out the parking lights as well as low beam and high beam lights to LEDs and now when the low beam is on both right and left headlights are on. Same for high beams. The only problem is the 1299 high beams cause the low beams to turn off because the overall assembly would have been too bright to pass US regulations but on the V4, one side of the headlights is low beam and other side is high beam, and I’m pretty sure the low beam stays on now
I can add a diode to the wiring harness to retain the low beams whilst the brights are on. that’s on the to due list

ehh the “S” suspension is married to the ECU, im going to opt for base and mod it up real nice
Like manny’s V4X (modded up base model)

I don't find the LED lights on my V4 that great at all. Nowhere near as good as the retrofit HID projector setup I had on my GSXR. If you do any night riding, you will see what I mean.
Watch.
Well i pulled the trigger today over the phone, and Purchased the V4S
^ Yea, wondering if we can put in an upgraded 35/55w bulb
