I dont like the 2020 Ducati website. On the 2019 and older Ducati sites if you chose a base Panigale model it showed what it came with and if you clicked on the S or R models it showed you what other features came with the upgraded model. On the current 2020 site I cant seem to find that. And if its there I have to dig around. So I googled it. Can someone confirm or correct me if I am wrong in what Im posting now. Both the Streetfighter V4 and V4S both come with
The electronics utilize a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) which instantly detects the bike’s roll, yaw and pitch angles.

The 2020 SF arrives with:

  • ABS Cornering EVO
  • Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2
  • Ducati Slide Control (DSC)
  • Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO
  • Ducati Power Launch (DPL)
  • Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2
  • Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO
But the V4S has Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) EVO (V4 S ONLY)

Both the V4 and V4S come with
Three Riding Modes are available that change engine and electronic parameters (including the suspension setup on the S model):

  • Race: Full 208 horsepower, low electronic intervention for maximum performance
  • Sport: Full 208 horsepower, electronic intervention set maximum on-street safety
  • Street: 155 horsepower, electronic intervention for maximum traction on surfaces with poor grip

Also, the electronics can be personalized based on the rider’s style.

The difference between the V4 and V4S is that the V4S comes with these features while the base V4 does not
  • Ducati Electronic Suspension EVO
  • Öhlins NIX-30 forks with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 control system
  • Öhlins TTX 36 shock absorber with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 control system
  • Öhlins steering damper with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 control system
  • Forged aluminum Marchesini wheels
Can someone explain the electronic suspension setup on the S model? Is this similar to what my S1000RR and S1000R have? And to what the 1299s has but an updated version which was on the 2018 and 19 Panigale V4S. Was there a suspension update on the 2020 models?

I dont like the 2020 Ducati website.

Me neither, it’s setup to soft force us to inquire at the dealership so they can leave you at least 1 voicemail a day until you place your order.

I love when they call. I abuse them lol

Do u think I’d miss my 1299 if I traded it in on a V4 (Panigale)? I think I might

I have no desire to ride my Triumph Daytona anymore, sadly. But if I trade it in, it won’t even fully cover the cost of just the Akra exhaust on the V4

Hi Cycle

I hope you correct as that is how or what I have heard. That’s why I went for the V4S model.

I wish these bikes would get to US showrooms yesterday. The wait is torture. In a different direction for some reason I'm also considering the new 2020 Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro.

Dont ever ever ever ever respond to me ever again. My family now hates you because of your ingenious idea. Great so when I order my streetfight v2 now Im going to have to order a new tank as well. Yo how do i block this guy? He is giving me ideas my ego is writing checks my body cant cash lololol. I cant wait to see how your bike looks. Ok I will block you after I see your bike. Lolol
[/QUOT
Yeah but I wanted the tank from the V4R so I could switch it back if I want to.....
The tank from the "R" you ordered is made of aluminum and the painted Streetfighter tank is composite steel.

Does anyone know the size (length and diameter) of the Rear wheel spindle on the SF? Would it be the same as the Panigale V4

It’s the aluminum V4R original tank..
I went to my dealer today to add some more carbon to my bike. While there I took a look at the "R". That aluminum tank looks awsome! Your Streetfighter is going to be one best, only second to mine;)

I sat on the SF Today. Wow! It fits so nice! Looking forward to trying it out

Keep the 1299. Call the dealer I told you about and he will give you a great price on the bike with the Akra exhaust. Since you are out of state you will get a great deal because thats money did would never have. Regarding the Triumph, try selling it on your own first. You will get more money for it than from a dealer. But on the flip slide even if you get less money from the dealer. The amount he does give you will also have a sales tax credit. And your tax will be less. For me for example trading my 2015 BMW S1000R with Premium and Sport package would be a mistake. Kelley blue book lists the trade in value at $6540 but i know I would get between $4800-$5500. And with all the new mods and upgrades I did on that bike in 18 months would be a total loss since most of my oem parts were either sold or given away. So I cant even remove most of the parts I upgraded. Kelley blue book has my bike listed for about $9270 if sold to a private buyer. I have $12,140 in upgrades on that bike retail. My cost was $8300 not including the Bursig list I would include in the sale of the bike which retails for $549 plus $75 shipping. If I traded that bike in maybe id be lucky to get between $5500 to $6500. So I would rather try and sell and ask $12,000 and see if I could get between $10,000-$12,000. Otherwise i may as well keep the bike.

I’ve got them in the back of my mind, I figured I’d wait till 2021 when Ducati has incentives on the 2020 models.

So keep the 1299 and purchase a V4 and I can always sell the old bike if the V4 makes me not have any interest in hopping on the old bike

I wonder what insurance is goin to look like for that

Haha yeah I was just at my dealer picking up my sons 959 corse and I added a few more things...... Can’t wait to get her!

If you're wondering what bike stand will fit your new Streetfighter, Ducati makes their "rear paddock stand " a universal fit. However if you looking to swap rims or such ask your dealer.

Go with the V4 Pit Bull stands and your good to go! I’ve had many different stands and the only ones to buy are the Pit Bull products ......

r they better than the red ones sold at the dealership?

I love the trailer restraints, but I’m pretty tyre warmers didn’t fit V4 with those stands

Thanks Duc-rider

I already have a bike stand that I uned on the MV Dragster but since that has been traded, the stand will suit the SF so I just need the spindle size. I have a lathe at home and can just turn one up or machine down what I already have
