no issues, but make sure to route the sensor from the outside. or else the warmer will
definitely dislodge it.

@aque0us - How do you like Brembo 19RCS with standard calipers? Asking, because I couldn't ride it, 17RCS better feeling for me..... Or maybe you upgraded calipers?

@roadracerx @KarlKani I find your posts extremely valuable, thank you!

I will summarize the suspension settings.

V4 2020 recommended/standard setup:
Front: 42mm sag (3mm above triple clamps measured without caps)
Rear: 30mm sag (Ohlins DU468 recommended length is 310mm)

Pirelli Big Size:
Front Tire +3mm vs OEM Pirelli SC
Rear Tire +1mm vs OEM Pirelli SC (+5mm vs superbike 200/60)

Are there any recommendations you guys run to compensate for new larger tires? (especially fork ride height and rear shock length)

Great build sorry for delay in response

@roadracerx has the suspension tips
I have been taking his advice geometry + suspension wise
I have 10mm showing but had to back off to 8mm showing. I have longer forks and the front was pushing,

@aque0us Frame sliders do nothing except make your bike flip over. Just make sure to have non folding pegs - this will protect your exhaust. I have had multiple offs on my bike and only minor scrapes on silencers. I recently went from 19x18 master to 17x18 - I have different calipers but hte pistons are the same size and it is a much better feel // modulation.

Would love some suspension setup tips from someone with experience on the V4... Just for a base setup at least.

Bike is the 2022 base V4. Will install the TTX rear tomorrow. Since swingarm pivot is the same as the v4r I'm thinking of using ohlins recommendation of 312mm shock length?

Would also appreciate opinion on spring installed preload?

The front fork is a showa bpf... Ordered the ttx cartridges but probably wont be in for another couple of weeks. Any idea on what oil weight they put in the stock showa?

Thanks guys

TTX or you mean Nix30 carts? FKR are what I have and currently are the best carts you can get, I had the forks ext 10mm they are very good.

TTX GP rear shock and FKR cartridges but they wont be in for another couple of weeks so for now stock showa bpf in the front. I have the FKR's on the R1M and love them as well

Thanks @KarlKani yep the frame sliders are off. And yeah @roadracerx got my bike dialed in! it’s working great! Back has been ...... up for a few months but yeah can’t wait for the winter racing season soon in the desert.

I'm with Endodoc on this. Bolting any protrusion directly onto a stressed member (in this instance the engine) is definitely not going to end well if you lowside the bike. It might afford you some protection, but with the amount of weight and shear load going through those spindly mounting points, they will snap like a twig, or else transfer all that inertial force into your crankcase and worse still damage it irreparably. You want something with a low co-efficient of friction close to the engine. Accept that the fairings will get trashed and move on. GB Racing covers are a much better choice.

Speaking from experience.. GB racing covers (or similar), fixed footpegs and front axle sliders protect the bike pretty much as good as its going to get. The wings act like sliders but the mounting area will get cracked in most lowsides.
