Whats the plan to test your "performance gains"?

Well as for me, my wife does a lot of baking, and she has a rolling pin for rolling out the doe that’s about the right size….so I figured I’d mount up a set to either end and have roll out some pizza doe and some bread then report back.

Yes… Just how Napolitana are your bearings should be the question!

worldwide bearings.
LOL Just got off the phone with Dave at World Wide Bearing. I rattled off the part numbers and he instantly knew what I was talking about no doubt from the call he got from r0hx. Anyhow r0hx is full of ..... WWB does not have either of these two bearings as I stated in my original response. These bearings are NOT available in a ceramic alternative. Dave told me to have one made would be about 2500 bucks. Anyone want to verify this, call Dave at WWB 800 575-3220.

Are you talking about the rear or the front?

I bought what are supposed to be ceramic roller bearings for the front wheel from HSBK…they weren’t $2500.

I’m with you guys that I doubt it will do much…the rolling resistance from the brakes is real, I’d like to figure out away around that, the bearings don’t mean anything compared to that.

No this thread was about the bearings in the rear hub assembly not wheel bearings. Ceramic front wheel bearings are available everywhere. The rear hub uses a double row roller assembly on the brake side and a needle arrangement on the drive side. These bearings are fairly specialized.

Well the factory looks like it wanted to save money in the use of bearing grease! Friggen almost dry as a bone. And my axle was practically welded to the bearing race. Off to the store for grease and a torch so I can remove the rear rotor as well.

Cleaned it up with 2500 grit paper and packed Blaster Red Tacky Grease RED GREASE - B'laster Products as best as I could into the area on the non-drive side. Feels ok, but I am going to order a new bearing assembly and axle at some point in the near future.

Friggen Ducati never fails to amaze me. I only have 9500 miles and no rain riding or power washing baths either.

Got the new rotor on and now I can do the same thing to the wife's V2 as I am sure it needs preventative maintenance as well.
