22 base with upgraded suspension. Nice improvement over my 20 base.
Track tested last weekend and very pleased.

What suspension did you go with?

Any other upgrades?

Where does Ducati mention they're using a seamless transmission on the 2022?

This is all I could find about it on their site.

I may have been a bit over enthusiastic. As @burton mentioned, there was a lot of chatter about seamless gearbox and service tech @ ducati dallas implied the 22 bike had it. But upon more research, you may be correct. 22 may only have received the ratios from World SBK bike not the seamless shift tech.

Yeah there's no production bike that has that tech yet afaik. Honda have DCT on the Africa Twin, maybe some others but that's not the same thing.

Did you get an early 2022 model? I ask because the lower fairing doesn't have the vents?

Very nice Suspension upgrade!

Also,

Honda’s RC213V-S that cost twice as much as a Superleggera didn’t have the seamless gearbox.

I believe that Honda decided against using the seamless for durability.

So don’t take it as a given that we will see a true seamless transmission on a consumer bike anytime in the near future.

I wonder if removing all of the sound damping foam from the fairings would help with the heat. Probably 1/3 of the thickness of the opening in the vents in the upper fairings is foam.

I do not have any of the damping material on my fairings. I have considered adding the 22 lowers but they are not cheap.

The lowers for the Akrapovic system don't come with it but have the posts to mount it, I guess if you wanted to transfer it from the OEM ones. The upper fairings have the bulk of it. I don't know if the 22 lowers would be direct bolt-on. There a difference in the way the overflow/drain hoses are routed. On the 22s, all of the hoses go to an assembly near the base of the oil cooler and from there outside of the bike. On the 2021 and older models, the hoses went to the lower fairings. I don't think its insurmountable to get it to work, but it would take some thought.

Putting Ohlins and forged wheels on a base doesn't magically make it a S, nor can you take the paint off of your tank and call it a R.

Well taking paint off of a bike would def not make it an R, you are correct on that one.
But also that is comparing apples to oranges.

Wheels, full Ohlins and an Li battery - that is an S over the base.
