Hi Guys happy 4th of July. Is it normal that when my bike's engine is off, it's easy to shift but when its running, it's really, really hard to shift even to neutral?

Danny

I took it as the engine is running but the bike isn’t moving.

So as you are riding it’s hard to get it into gear?

Thanks for responding. No not riding hard at all. Still in break-in mode. Even when the bike is idle, as long as the engine is running, shifting becomes hard but when engine is off it's normal. Also seems that clutch is always engage. Need to hold the brake all the time or it will roll even when the clutch is pressed.

You shouldn't have to hold the brake to keep the bike from moving if the clutch lever is pulled in all the way.

This makes me think the clutch is not releasing. If the clutch lever is adjust too far in there may not be enough fluid pushed through to cause it to release or if there is air in the line.

i took a closer look. When I loosend the pressure-plate, it works as intedted, Clutch level goes all the way but when tighten the pressure plate as recommended (10n), the pusher plate cannot move all the way out and is being limited by the pressure plate already.

Have you bled your clutch?

So it’s a 22v4… wet clutch and you are talking about loosening the pressure plate …

Have you have had it in bits previously and not put it back together correctly?

Are you telling the whole story?

is 22v4 a wet clutch? Whole story? I installed the clear clutch cover and was working initially, then i forgot to include the oval ring in the pusher-plate where the spring is sitting so i have to remove and replace the pusher/pressure plate again. Then that's when the issue started, not matter how many time i realign the gear yesterday, same issue for me. Pressure-plate is limiting the pusher-plate when i press the clutch lever.
