this come from getting a allocation of 50 panigale by december of 2011 pre order all the bike with deposit by december and on may of 2012 the bike show up and the owner cancelling the order because for some of them the insurance was too high the other half was having problem because ducati want to play 2007 desmo again holding the bike allocation to make force the customer to buy the S model and the tricolore.
you guy can go and play fan boy all you want but most you guy don't have a clue how ducati work and how ducati want to sell their bike.

you really should just STFU and leave this forum

none of your posts ever contribute any meaningful insight and to top it off, every post you post is in an attempt to stir the pot like the other thread that got completely shut down thanks to you and your comments

Hey esmirna8262980

You don't know what the F*** you're talking about. You seem to have some angry management issues...#1 - Why are you even on this forum. #2 - Why do you have Ducatis since you clearly express negative comments about them. #3 - You type away claiming you know what others intentions are but you don't know .... about what they want and their reasons for getting bikes etc. Your narrow minded comments and one sided mentality make you look like a moron.

It's a forum that has different types of opinions and info, wtf there is no point to your negative comments.

I must say, I really love v-twins. Fell in love riding my tl1000s 13 years ago. Someone else mentioned the 'thin ness', the way it delivers power in anger, the attention it takes to ride smooth. The sound.
But every engine has merit, 675triple with arrow, wow. I have not ridden an r1 cross plane, but they do sound the business. I am sure a v4 would be amazing, but Aprillia already has one, triumph mv and yamaha have triples.

There is only one high performance l2 on the market, it would be a sad day when it steps down to lesser uses to be replaced by more cylinders.

More might indeed be less.

Personally, I like the L twin. I know that the v4 is the future and that it's coming, however the twin in the R is just exciting. I like bikes with character and a different feeling. I've ridden the s1krr and other bikes and they don't excite me, yes they are fast but they feel like they're missing something. The character and feel I get from the L is awesome is there isn't anything out there like it. So ya, I'd take the L twin, just because I know that the v4 is our future. I believe it was on top gear when they were comparing the 918 to the LaFerrari and P1. The 918 was a step forward, a glimpse at where we are going, while the LaFerrari is a culmination of the best of what we can do. I feel that way with the L twin and v4.

Kevin DO NOT let me ride your R. I don't need to be second guessing my decision.

I just came off an Aprilia. Awesome engine...sounds AMAZING. But the torque out of a twin gives you a feel that a V4 or I4 just doesn't produce. The throaty exhaust note is also intoxicating. For the street or occasional track day rider, they'll rarely if ever reap the benefits of 220 HP. Heck, every liter class bike hitting 200 HP is something I never thought I'd see. Probably 10 years ago when AMA racing was still good, a full factory race bike was in this range. And again, ridingis a very visceral experience. Heck...my Guzzi Sport 1100 was an amazing ride and I bet it struggled to make 90 HP.

For me, it's the twin.

If i were you wait for 2017 Aprilia :) you will .... your pants.

We could be trading the 1299 in since it has had so many problems very unreliable - the 2017 Aprilia is going the bike for her :) she loves it but she doesn't like the styling as much as the Panigale.

Maybe I'll let her have my bike so i could trade hers in on an Aprilia :)

I love the V4 sound but the Ape is just too heavy.

who is going to insurance it? did you guy know the half of the people the put deposit in the panigale dint completed the transaction because of insurance prices?you don't think ducati take in consideration that if the bike is too expense to insurance they can't sell it ?

yes they can play with limited production bike not with the base model.

Well, well, well... Guess you were wrong 226 BHP if you slap on the akrapovic titanium system! I'm going to pick up mine may the 4th!

This hurt my brain. Hope it's a troll.

I think anybody here choosing the V4 over the superleggera just really wants a V4. It all comes down to whatever bike makes you feel better. If you want the raw power of the 1299 combined with the low weight of the superleggera, then that. If you want a smoother ride with a more linear curve that will make any average (even above average) person faster, then that.

this guy was right. Ducati won't sell you a 220hp bike, they'll sell you a 226hp bike.
