23-24 V4R exhaust question

So we came to the conclusion that the low Akra for the 22+ PV4 should fit the R without anyone actually fitting one? So just speculation and common sense and no practical experience.

Are the locations of the O2 sensors the same on the low vs high Akra? Maybe it’s a harness issue. I’d assume not though

Assume….😂

No, someone has fitted one with a custom tune. I mentioned it earlier. There’s no ‘should’ about it in relation to whether it fits.

I doubt anyone outside of Ducati could answer for why the belly exhausts aren't available in the configurator.

The answer is actually pretty simple. Every ECU calibration variant costs a .... ton of money and for every exhaust you need a specific version. It is a commercial decision if it is worth to offer an exhaust version for a specific bike.

Termi released a new T800 map for the full under tail Akrapovic but not their own D200 or D182. Also they have another version for the EVO 3 update as well. It comes as a free download with T800 and they have a version for $199, which you have to buy separately.

the low akra has a very tight margin with the chain, due to the new awing arm pivot position and also is less refined as throttle control.
I had it in my V4S and was a little " grumpy " on the first response, when leaned down.
My 2 cents

BTW the new racing akra exhaust, is narrower than the one sold to the public.
I still don't know the real reason, but I suppose it is for a better aerodynamic and more protected in case of a crash

@andyb

I had another look and I'm pretty sure that I saw 4 of them on the low-exit Akra that I have on my SP2, which should surely mean that it would work on the R. People are saying the low-exit does not work on the R because it only has 2, yet...

The part number for MY23 onward low mount system has provision for 4x o2 sensors. I only fitted 2 when i did the install as the instructions showed this but alas it need the 4x sensors installed to rid a fault code and engine light.

It may be changed now. The earlier version I saw wouldn’t clear the key opening for the rear cowl.

would be much better for crashing - I have said all along it is super frustration how narrow and blocked the wsbk Akra is compared to the civilian Akra
