Does anyone know what or why there is a black rubber piece on the top of the 23 24 V4R's windscreen? Haven't noticed it on any other Panigale's.

It’s something for homoligation. One of the windscreens I bought which had one, may have been the WRS, said in the instructions it was for TVR ( German I think) certification or something to that effect. The lower OEM windscreen doesn’t need it because the edge is molded thicker.

TVR is a car - huge fun to drive and very sadly no longer with us. They are starting to be imported into the US now - Jay Leno had one in his garage fairly recently.

I looked into it to buy that piece as it is a nice finish part, but you have to buy the whole screen.

couple hundred ish

My Ducati Performance screen for my ‘21 V4SP came with the black rubber trim, but I didn’t apply it. You can have mine for $55 including shipping to Florida.

More importantly, how do you get it to stay on?

I kinda like the look.

I was gonna add some dabs of silicone or something but didn’t want it to smear on the screen itself and it’s an awfully small channel, edge to try to adhere to. It’s just gonna squeeze out and get everywhere if I put it in the screen edge first I’d think.

Mine starts to blow off at speeds over about 75 mph.

It's called bulb seal - I'm surprised ducabike doesn't sale that ish, more of an eyesore imo and a hassle at 75+
