2x or 4x o2 sensors? - Full akro

Ok so my 2022 (MY23) PV4S has 4x o2 sensors. Almost finished installing the 2022+ akro full system and in the very well written instructions it shows only 1x front and 1x rear o2 sensor being used. The kit came with 2x sensor bungs along with 2x harness termination plugs. Wondering if this could be just so the system is multifit between Euro 4 and Euro 5.

Before I take the bike to the dealer for the tune to be uploaded, I thought I'd ask you guys to see if this all sounded correct and I didn't waste the dealers time who has been very decent to me in regards to installing the tune file considering I've never been there previously. I've watched it done both ways (4x and 2x o2 sensors) on stupid 2022+ model youtube videos with, at best, questionable installers to try and find some kind of reference.

Any help appreciated!

I would follow the instructions and do one front and one rear using the pipes coming off of the right cylinders.

I've watched some guys do very questionable things on YouTube. Smearing high temp RTV on exhaust gaskets was one of my favorites. Nevermind that its a two layer metal gasket, just smear RTV on the outside surfaces.

I have a 2023 Street Fighter (SF) V4S (EU5) and Ducati does NOT list the Full Akra Low-mount System for my bike. They only list the low-mount system for SFs up to 2022 (CODE 96481653AA, LINK). I've read that this is because the '23/EU5 SFs now come with 4 O2 sensors & bungs, while the SFs up though '22 had only 2 O2 sensors & bungs.
Is this correct?
If so, then would just using the Akra Low-mount kit's 2 harness termination plugs allow me to use this '22 Akra kit on my '23?
Interestingly, Ducati does offer the Akra Low-mount for the '23 Panigale V4S (CODE 96482081A, LINK). Wouldn't this system run the same header pipes as the '23 SF, even if the muffler mounts are perhaps different? If so, why doesn't Ducati put these headers with 4 O2 bungs into the Akra Low-mount system for the '23 SF?

You can fit the under belly style system but you'd be on your own for a tune. I check with Daniel @DeussenEngines for that.

Install instructions for the under belly kit with 4 sensors. https://media.ducati.com/EPCResources/ATTACHMENTS/D4/D4A311CD4BBEBF228553680B0C59BE9A.pdf

Yeah agreed. Decided to keep as 2 only and roll with the instructions which detail using the harness termination plugs. No mention of anything else.

Don't get me started on the RTV lol🤦‍♂️ It's a multilayer crush gasket ffs

I have a 2023 SFV4S and ordered in haste the low mounted Akra system 96482081A, I have not installed it yet as I was told that the bike would run but not very well. Can I not just use the 2022/2023 Panigale V4S map as these are essentially the same bikes?

You’ll 100% need all 4x O2 sensors installed. May have to get extra ports welded onto the 21 system as it may only have provision for 1 in the front and 1 in the rear. Guess it depends on the tune being used also

Hey
How did this workout in the end, I’m considering the same modifications as my dealer will fit my 2021 full Akro to a new 2023 bike
If the dealer is installing this, what are they doing for the tune? I wouldn't think they could use the Ducati tune as the sale of the exhaust has to be associated to your VIN.

I’m going to speak with them to get a clearer answer but he reckons that they can speak to Ducati to get the map taken off my old bike and associate it with the new bike, I’m sceptical.
im interested to know how Mcv4 sorted the issue, did you get a custom map or get extra O2 connections welded in

I bought a new exhaust (with allocated ducati map obviously) to suit the bike. Only questionable thing during the install was that the instructions showed 2x only O2 sensors (1front + 1 rear) installed which was not the case.

Ducati cannot take the map from the old bike and put it on the new bike. The full system map for the old style Akra for your bike does not even exist in their system. The only way to get it working is an aftermarket map.

Thanks for the info guys, it’s what I thought if I’m honest, did you go with the wheelbarrow exhaust,

Thank you, it’s what I thought really. How does your map work? Does it delete the 2 o2 sensors and just use 2?
