Hello I removed my wheel and calipers to give them a good clean and replace the brake pads
I notice the axle was hard to slide out after I remove everything I tried outing the axle in by itself and doesn’t alight. I have to either push up the right fork leg or pull down the left
Is about 9mm off/lower

Any ideas to why this happen ?
Everything up top seems fine

Left leg from dust seal to leg clamp is 115mm
Right leg is 124mm

i don't know the fork.
could have to do with a imbalance of the top out springs.
what if you pull the legs out?
anyway, a maintenance is always a good idea.

I’ll definitely look at my options
Lower legs are a little beat up so I don’t really want to put a $1k plus cartridge on these.

Has the bike been down? You clearly have a discrepancy in extended length. Carts makes the most sense $$ if that is an issue.

Bike was down one time by previous owner, he had new seals and oil early this year, I purchased the bike in July. I did one track day in august and everything felt fine (upper pack intermediate group)

Definitely something wrong so I’ll have some profesional look at them
Yes I’m looking at cartridges, if fixing this will be more than 3-400 I will just add them at this point
Looking at Mupo since I had plans to later next year get their shock.. darn it

Why mupo? There is little info on setup for those here. It’s good stuff but Ohlins is a no brainer

4 out of 5 people I have told the Mupo said same thing, the other suggested Ktech lol
Not sure I guess just trying to be different I know any would be better than stock and more than enough for me, I guess I just like the white spring and colors in the shock from Mupo.

I pm’d a guy selling his stock 959 Showa forks already with 30mm inserts-for $900
They are set up for 155lbs w/out gear tho,
I’m about 175 no gear

What’s in the showas?? You just need to do a stiffer spring in one or both sides

From my knowledge is stock
They have been worked on but only new seals and oil was added
Springs were not changed
