916 on the island

Just to make owners of standard bikes not feel as if they are missing out by not adjusting steering heads and swing arm pivots, here is Michael Dunlop doing a 127mph lap on a Marshals bike with road tires. While I am sure its a pretty good bike to start with it shows you that skill and confidence go a long way towards a good lap time before you need fancy wheels or unobtanium race parts

Makes me want to take my 916 out of the dining room. In the long view I have to believe I had more fun riding the 916 than all the others. Truly transformative brilliant and beautiful design. And easy to work on.

Valid point!

Some production bikes almost need nothing at all in terms of mods for track riding as shown by Rick.

I confess to having the mod bug.
