Today was the long awaited delivery day for my 2012 S, with Termi slips. I purchased the bike a month ago but it could not be delivered at the time I bought it, and since I work out in ND in the oilfields, I wanted delivery to be postponed until I got back to MN so I could see the glorious moment it rolled off the trailer first hand... As the time approached for delivery this evening, my heart pounded faster and I was happier then any kid on Christmas morn'... The call came in, I'll be there in 5 minutes... Heart beat faster... Excited to finally have my pani.

As the dealership truck and trailer pulled up, I ran out to greet him and take pics to show my friends. The trailer door opened and there she was, laying on her right side in the trailer... Right fairing and mirror smashed, her lifeblood(coolant) leaking out of her.. The trailer mount had broke, and the bike fell on to the other mount in the trailer. Now of course I'm not going to take delivery on a busted up bike so with much regret I sent her back... Maybe now ill get a '13? Or maybe even a white if they have one in stock.

Here's a couple pics of the damage, looks like ill be waiting a bit longer for my bike after all :)

Patience is a virtue they say right?

RLTW!

That really sucks, sorry you have to wait longer, and just as the weather is starting to warm up too.

That sucks!!!!!! I just picked up my 13 in white and I to wanted to see it in the crate prior to having her unwrapped, I would have been bitterly disappointed if it had been looking like yours, however could be worse aye??? Hopefully you will get it all sorted and get riding, I can tell you, it is worth the wait!!!! Do they not arrive in a crate like here in New Zealand?

They do arrive by crate but I picked mine up off the showroom floor.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365049318.804806.jpg

That was her on the show floor. I had them put the passenger seat and pegs on for my fiancée to see how she felt back there.

oh man! everything has a reason, so maybe this prevented you from getting a bike with a leaking motor (???)

ask the guys from the first hour about patience. we feel with you!

On the positive side at least forces beyond explanation prevented you from getting a red Pani (basically a CBR with 2 less cylinders). Now you can be a little more patient and hold out for that white one that you really want!

I almost shed a tear.

Hopefully the dealer moves quickly to get you another.

The dealer I go through is pretty awesome, Ducati of Minneapolis is first rate in customer service imo. I've no doubt the issue will be resolved with haste. In the mean time the garage sits empty... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365083506.214846.jpg

Well gents, after many paces back and forth inside the Ducati dealership I've decided to go with a tricoloré. Termis will be put on today and ill take delivery tomorrow. This is one happy Duc owner.

Very nice! I'd say you made it ok. Hopefully the dealer cut you a decent deal for your troubles.

Dealer gave me a stellar deal, definitely worth my while.... Just need some nice weather now. Waiting sucks!

hey thats my dealer too!!! I think I saw your bike before it must have gotten shipped out, they had a few lined up with sold stickers!!! this was on Tuesday...

And +1,000,000 on them being an amazing dealer!!! They hooked up anti hero when he stopped by!!!

@zimm- mine was that '12 demo that they had on the floor before. They had a few still lined up with the sold stickers today. And now the tricoloré will have a sold sticker on it :)

Thats awesome!!! I hope you dont mind, Iv sat on your new bike lol!!! Where in MN do you live? I know you work in ND but, dont you get like two weeks off at a time???

I live in Foley just outside of St. Cloud, small little farm town. I work 20 days on then I have 10 off. I'm always off the 1st-10th every month so it's easy to plan vacations etc. Where are you at in MN?
