A little Honesty please

I personally will always save the installation instructions and before I sale a part I always check the parts list, bag all the hardware, and secure it (tape/zip tie) to another part. Just seems like good business to me.

Coming from someone who has been personally selling new and used parts and other assorted crap on ebay/craigslist/forums etc etc for years from what I read here I completely believe the seller. DP Rearsets come in pieces. Dealership took em off and threw them in a box (minus a few pieces) and tells the guy heres your stuff back. Low and behold a couple pieces are missing. Unless this guy put the rear sets on in the first place he wouldn't know if bolt or two or three was incorrect or missing- these things come in pieces as I said.

Lets not bash the ....... guy if adequate time hasn't been given for him to either refund the full price, or get the missing stuff shipped out right away.

This is why I make it a point to be as descriptive as possible in all of my for sale and wanted ads. Its easier to be honest and say something scratched and get maybe $20 less for it, than describe it wrong, have the guy file a chargeback and I lose the money and the item... No thanks.

FYI to all- so long as you don't pay using a debit card or checking account through paypal you can just skip pay pals BS claims process and simply and quickly file a chargeback on your credit card. We have legal rights in our credit account contracts, they're in a purchasers favor, big time! (another reason I photograph all angles and send all items with tracking).

Lets all be honest people and not f*** each other. That being said, good night.

So the question is what would you want him to do?
1-refund your money?
2-give you a discount?

don't get wrong I think people need to check their .... before the put it for sale,I don't care who dismount the part. if you put your stuff for sale you are responsible not the dealer or my friend Pedro

I will ask for a good discount if he can't not find the parts.
I alway pay with Paypal as buying good, if the seller don't want to pay for the fee I just wont buy it from him.

Accidents happen, calm down.

I'm fine buddy and I'm not trying to bash the seller is just common sense to check your stuff before you put it for sell. Especially if you are not the one who put the part in the box.
this is for everybody including my self we need to check before we put stuff for sell, there is nothing than piss me off more than waiting a week for an item and I open the box to find out they forged to put the completed order. Now I need to wait one more week. Hello!!! GSA Advantage :(

Well this is what happened.

Once again Nick at Rockwell Cycles comes thru in a pinch. He is sending me 2 new rose bearings and the 103mm rod is going to set me back 100 bucks. I haven't heard yet from the seller who said he's calling his dealer, Duc Pond. For everything I hear about them they screwed the pooch on this one.

Nick said that most likely a tech didn't press them in right, or on install put it on backwards...either way too much pressure was placed on them in the wrong direction. I then removed them, pressed them back in and they work reasonably.

I found bolts left over from my RC8R rear sets that match the size and quality. Still working on the heel guard hole, but I'm almost thru with that.

The peg I'll worry about when I snap it off in a crash...lol. That is about it. Oh yeah, While installing the right side I noticed it was set on the high position, while the left was on the low....how the tech got a job at Duc Pond is beyond me, the fact the the guy that owned them before me and rode around like that tells me a lot.

Thanks for the support, I'll let you all know if the seller comes thru and offers me money back.

Cheers,
