Hello everyone,
Thanks for accepting my registration to the 1199 Panigale FORUM.

I have been riding motorcycles for 36 years, thus since I was 10 years old, when I had my very first Yamaha 75cc back in Brasil.

Since I came to the USA I seem to change bikes too often, and that has caused me to get addicted in TRADING THEM IN too soon, which is the case again with my Suzuki GSX1300R 2012 with 600 miles on it.

I have owned 6 bikes in the past 5 years and today I am happy with my Hyabusa, however I cannot STAND still looking at this beauty 1199 Panigale, I really want to get my hands in one very soon, so that is why I joined this forum.

I hope I will be able to soon post pictures of a DUCATI.

Best regards,
LCL

Welcome

Best of luck to you as well, and welcome. Not sure if you read the sticky we have here for new members, but it offers a great deal of info on posting questions and such. The "Search" feature is your new friend to find all of the info you seek on this marvelous bike, use it to the fullest which will stop you from re-posting something which has been heavily discussed and beaten to death by every member of this forum. :D

I have never personally enjoyed anything Kawasaki put out, and never had a desire to ride a Busa, so have absolutely nothing to compare that to in the Ducati world. For straight line unreal top speed runs I guess it cant be beat, but there is a reason you never see those bikes in any true sportbike racing. That beast would truly rip down the straight and go directly off turn one into the wall, air fence, or hay bales as others get horizontal.

Hope you add one of them to collection one day and years of riding experience Bra!

trading bikes is not a bad thing, i trade bikes yearly too, but make sure you ride them, or else its a complete waste since you dont know the personality of the bikes, unless you just want to look at the bike, but not ride them. 600 miles is way too lil miles on a bike, you practically just done breaking in the engine.

i pick mine up on Friday, and bring it back on Sat for 600 miles service, and after 5000 miles i still find new things about the bikes

anyway, welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the bike

Welcome aboard!

When you are ready to pull the trigger I recommend chatting up with Gunny on that front. The guy has connections.

I currently own both the panigale and the busa. They are entirely different machines so i'm not sure it's easy to compare them. For one the Pani turns much quicker. Although the busa is faster it doesn't feel that way. The speed on the busa has a way of sneaking up on you.

Granted I haven't but the panigale S through it's paces yet as i'm still in break in but a certain snow storm got in my way.

Best advice I can offer is to schedule a test ride.

Gunny if you ever get the itch to take a ride for the busa. Hit me up.
