AB 1299 track bodywork on 1199? (Keep 1199 Upper?)

My friends are about to shoot me if i don't up and buy this set of AB track bodywork for the 1299 to put on my 1199 that's being offered up for sale on TDJ. "It'll be easy to modify", "just sell the upper and keep the rest" etc. etc.

I'm not convinced.

I called Whalen at Woodcraft and he suggested the MWR upper and intake stay. @$500+.....yeah. no.

My question remains, can i use the 1299 lowers with a 1199 upper? Any modifications?

Just buy my side fairings. I don't know if they fit 1199. Guys fit 1199 to 1299 all the time, so maybe...

I went through this over the winter trying to fit 1199 fairings on my 959 (same as 1299 fairings). The tail section, nose fairing and upper side fairings are different. The only part that was the same was the lower part of the side fairings.

If you are looking for a cheap set of track fairings for the 1199 check ebay there are hundreds of them.
