arent you supposed to be on the balls of your feet?

when you're baking do you extend your feet straight forward to get some cooling air flow? :D

I ride most of the time on the balls of my feet, unless baking or going into left-handers, maybe that's the issue?

What are you doing under braking and lefts? I feel that I'm always on the balls of my feet. Maybe even more to the toe than your pic. I can't cover the rear brake from my typical position and I'm an Alpinestars 49 / Nike 14.

Props on the boots. They look like they've slid a time or two. 👍

TBH I hardly use the rear unless i feel the need to tighten the radius or settle the rear down, on the rights you have to be off it early anyway. Re the left handers I mean that I slide the right boot forward so that the heel is up against the peg and more locked in. I held the boot up for the pic but im usually back a tad more, the rearsets are up and back 10mm from stock. I struggle to get good track boots in my size, Im going to get some Daytonas next as they have great reviews and less gimmicks.

Alpinestars seem to be the most US fit friendly. I wear a 44L in a suit but a Alpinestars 56 Euro (in their more recent suits/jackets) fits me well. Same with the boots. Some size charts put a Dianese 48 to a US 14, which is bananas wrong.

I think you could drill out the rivets and fab a section of aluminum with more coverage. You'd have to debur the edges so you aren't making a knife in case of a tumble but it should be an easy fix.

I'm on the balls of my feet mostly as well. Only thing is I stay to the outside of the pegs. Looks like you keep your foot closer to the bike than me. Your foot position would increase likelihood of contact with inner heel/ankle to bike parts.
