ABS not working '12 1199S

Help Support Ducati Forum:

The simplest way and something that won’t cost you anything is to go to Ducati Omaha - Ducati OEM Parts Ordering - Diagrams- Ducati Parts
and show him the pages in the manual from an ABS model bike that depict the parts necessary for the ABS system and then point out in person that your bike simply does not have them. Then show him the manual from the same site that is for the non ABS version so he understands that a non ABS bike was an option and indeed what you have. Should be a closed case.
 
Yeah I guess I was correct from the get go its not hard to figure out so like I said your mechanic and previous owner don't know much about these bikes.
 
Yeah I was busy and away otherwise I would have checked for the pump right away. Thanks again guys. I will try to convince using what endodoc explained above. Cheers ✌

If your inspector is not willing to accept facts presented to him, you can't fix stupid! Take your bike to someone else to get inspected and move on.
 
Wasted my time, double trips and still charged me $75 for something caused by his own lack of knowledge. But atleast its registered now! You guys are awesome! Thanks once again.

Take him to court for his ignorance
 
Guys I have a 2012 1199S with ABS— non-tricolor- it’s red. 99% sure/- i get the abs dash light at startup.

Cant you just get your bike inspected at a Ducati dealership? At least you know you'll get someone knowledgeable of your bike.

Its done. I was getting appointments after a month. This guy got it done the same day, well wasted two days, but pretty much right away.

Google says ABS comes in tricolor, it is standard in it, the other ones have an option if buyer wants it. So it is possible that your bike has it and well mine didn't. According to google, please correct if i am wrong.
