It happened on Saturday.

I was on the beltway (I-495) and saw a car which tire blew off. I was trying to avoid that accident and lower the speed. All of sudden, I got hit from left behind and fell down. The car just ran away.

Fortunately, I had full protection (helmet, gloves, jacket, pants with protection, and boots). Still, one of bone on ankle had fracture and I need to have a splint for 6 weeks.

That's really suck... Hope the state police can get the car and the jerk.

Later I will check my Panigale.. Ugh...

VERY sorry to hear of this unfortunate accident man!
I absolutely despise traveling on the beltway and can't tell you how often I see drivers texting and changing lanes without signal, or even a look in that direction! That totally sucks the driver didnt even stop to ensure your well being and hope there was someone who witnessed this and was able to obtain a marker plate number so they can follow it up during their investigation!

Don't lose sleep over the bike as that can be replaced in the end, even though I know it hurts you inside. Get well soon and for sure let us know if they were able to track down the individual who rear ended you Hhuhuh !

Good to hear you are well... sorry about your ankle. Get well soon.

Hope they catch that jerk.. I hate people that can't man up to their actions and runaway.

Ugh, sorry to hear, but like Gunny said the bike is nothing and can be replaced. You are very fortunate to have come away with such minor injuries given that you were on that god-awful beltway.

Rest up and we'll see you back on the road soon!

Bloody hell, what a ....... ....! Who the .... doesn't stop?!

I sure hope they do get caught and we are all VERY glad to hear you will ride another day!

Alex

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Damn lucky considering you were hit by a car and on a highway at the same time.

Here in Orlando I'm convinced that if you went down on I-4 in the middle of downtown you would be run over by at least a few cars that were behind you as everyone tailgates and no one plans for anything bad happening up ahead.

I don't even like driving a cage on the beltway, it's basically nuts! Glad you are not seriously hurt - speedy recovery!

Really unfortunate to get hit.. fortunate that you could walk away from it(kinda).

I hope karma catches up to that guy soon.
