Admin help needed. How to delete threads and my account

I have looked everywhere, and twice I have sent a message via “contact”, with no luck.
How can I delete a thread I started, and how can I cancel my membership to this forum.

There is a little three button menu at the bottom of your post. Perhaps you have to tap on it first. One of the menu options is “delete”. I would suppose that turning off notifications and removing any quick links is functionally identical to exiting the forums. Be well.

I do not see any such thing. I have looked everywhere several times.

What’s particularly irritating is that I have found a way to “contact” the form and have sent two messages. Nothing. Certainly the moderators/administrators should have seen this post by now. Nothing.

I’ve been on many, many forums in the past 20 years. There was a time when it was very easy to contact moderators. My guess is that these forums now are big companies and they have marching orders to not delete members because that is how they sell advertising...more members.

This ...... service will make me think twice about joining forums for vehicles that I don’t own, which I have done many times to research vehicles I’m interested in.

UPDATE. I see the “delete” option on this post now. Apparently this is one of the forums you can only edit or delete for a short period of time. I don’t get that.

Ah. I see these button and delete option on the mobile version of this forum. iPhone, Safari.
I agree I do not see the option on my laptop. Mac, Safari.
It's a puzzle.
Perhaps viewing on a smartphone would enable you to do what you wish to do.

I view it all the time on multiple iPads. Is that your Poodle in your Avatar? We have a white/brown “Parti” Poodle.

And another day goes by with no response. Certainly there has to be a way to terminate ones account with online social media, right?

Yes, that’s my pup. Just turned 2. Photo was 6mo but a good look. The perfect dog. Our third poodle (fifth dog) and possibly the smartest and most responsive so far. All were great but this one is unique. He has a Parti pal. Be well.

There reaches a point where I just think it's good to be able to purge footprints across social media that no longer are relevant. I can assure you that these forums are big business and they make their money by selling our data. I'm not a conspirousy theory guy who is walking around looking over my shoulder, it's just my preference and I think I/we deserve the right to unhook.

I'm appalled that it's been over a week now of me reaching out through every method I can find with zero responses. It is reaching a point where now I'm just mad. Id bet money that admins/moderators have seen this post and they are ignoring me just because they can.

No one is responding to you because this isn't like any other forum where there are rules and micromanagement going on. Even when there are major issues like the chinese spammers, it still takes a while to get rid of em.

Personally, i don't see what the big deal is about leaving your account behind n just disappearing. You don't really have any personal info linked to this forum besides a username and an email, both useless things.
