Finally arrived. Pleased with it I think, but it does seem to fog way too easily at the pinlock lens insert diminishes the clarity quite a bit.

Definitely need the pinlock. I used it at Homestead and hat to pit in to change helmets. Now that I have the pinlock, I hope the fog situation goes away.

I used it for a bit today, and it still managed to fog up a bit, doesn't bode well

Mine also fogs like a bitch. Haven't installed the pinlock for the same reason you said, it's a noticeable step down in clarity.

Interesting that you're running the stock pegs. You don't find them slippery?

Akra pipe ?

Yes sir. Installed that last week as well.

They're very slippery. I haven't found a pair of rearsets I absolutely love yet so I haven't bought any yet. I've done some spirited rides through the mountains without issue, but haven't been to the track with this particular bike yet. Have any recommendations on a good rearset?

Take your pick, there are tons of options now. Most are overpriced, IMHO, over $600 for complete rearsets. I was lucky to buy a gently used set of Rizoma RRC rearsets for less than half price. I don't get what makes 1199 rearsets any more costly to manufacture, I believe the manufacturers think its commensurate with the cost of the machine.

Anyway, if you like the OEM peg positions, you can change the footpegs themselves to super-grippy one for around $150 or less.

LSL pegs for about 49 dollars. I think I got them from bellismoto

I actually found a set of rear sets that I like for not a completely unreasonable (only slightly unreasonable) price, so I'm waiting for those to arrive.
