Akrapovic Exhaust or termi ?

Alright guys, so I'm up in the air right now which one to get. I would like responses on experiences with both exhaust. Plus the other reason I would like to get a new exhaust besides it being louder :) is I heard the akra will help dissipate the heat. I dont know about any one else but I got a nice 1st degree burn on my inner thighs. I do wear leathers, i thought it would help but it doesn't.
It's just plain hot in ATL .

I'll appreciate all responses thank you guys.

I don't have an experience of the V4 but my last few Ducati's have had Akra's, the fit and finish were significantly better than the Termi option.

I doubt there is any different in heat dissipation between either brand and if there is I imagine it would be negligible.

Choose whichever one you like the look of the most.

Both my L2 Panigale exhausts are Akro, both sizzle my shnutz with leathers. Just gottta ride faster

I even heard this lower heat claim on the much cheaper Austin Racing exhaust specs. I've yet to see any actual data to support it though. I'm on a V4 base and had two L2 Panigales before this one and they all roasted me with stock and aftermarket systems. Still stock on the V4 though due to the insane cost of pipes for this platform.

Really wish Ducati would sort this out. Never have this issue on any other bikes including other Ducati models. My Streetfighter is cool as a clam even during in traffic. Three seems to be some serious heat transfer issues between the engine and the new non-trellis frames.

Yeah I spoke with the mechanic at the dealership about heat transfer from akra exhaust. Apparently titanium is good at transferring heat.

Plus the sub frame is where at the heat gets trapped. If only Ducati could fix that issue. Lol

I have the full race akra on my v4s and i don't really notice any difference with the heat. Here in Hawaii, its pretty much hot all year round so i avoid traffic when i ride to save my scrotum from the singe.

Build quality, i had the termis on my 1199 and the build quality of the akra is better. However, i feel like the termi is more robust and stronger (also heavier).

I chose the akra for the v4s to keep the lines of the tail. I love the termi full system but i don't like how the pipe takes up so much of the tail and sticks out like 8 inches. If it was more flush with the tail, like the d16rr, i definitely would have gone that route.

I Currently have the akra but I am thinking of changing to termi. Akra looks better but termi works better. Full akra creates a flat spot in the middle .
I have been using akra exhausts since 1996 and have never seen a bad one but the full akra on the v4 is not a good exhaust

Yeah I heard you get more power from the termi. I see that Ducati has put termi back on their website again. Do you like the sound on your akra? I see the videos on the termi and it sounds more throaty.

My friend has the full termi, I have the full Akra...

Sound: Both sound good, Termi sounds better but is also significantly louder. I am sure that many would consider it too loud, although I think it sounds amazing.

Heat: I noticed my bike was significantly cooler with the Akra, and I have backed this up (to myself) when riding another friend's bike with the stock exhaust. As far as the Termi, I don't have personal experience but my friend with the Termi has stated that the under tail gets warm and the heat shield doesn't help too much. Likely Akra do to eliminating the cats and the positioning of the pipes.

Performance: My friend thinks my bike runs a little smoother with the Akra/upmap, but for me I can't tell. Both run better than stop and Termi has done a great job with their mapping compared to the mess that was my 1199.

Power: Both feel equal to me. I have seen Termi's dyno which shows the Termi making slightly more power, but we are hoping to dyno both of our bikes back-to-back. I don't think there is going to be a big difference.

Looks: I think both look terrible. Most have commented to me that they don't like the look of there Termi, and this board seems against it. However, I think it looks way better in person than it does in pictures and it really looks cool from behind. Looks are subjective, but the whale-.... Akra's aren't attractive to me.

Fit/Finish/Quality: To me this is the biggest different. I installed my Akra (with major help from a friend) and the quality of everything was amazing. I cannot speak for the Termi pipes, as my friend had his installed, but the quality of the accessories is rather poor.

The lower's don't match up underneath, their is visible differences in the carbon weave where they seem together on the lowers, there are area's where the flat clear coat is flaking off, and there are areas where it looks like the smushed the fiber together and loaded with epoxy in the mold. The lowers quality is really bad.

Each component (lowers, heat shield, exhaust parts) all have a different weave and a different sheen. The pipes that exit thru the lower are not even (the top right of one is protruding, the bottom let of the other) and the metal trim plate is slanted.

The Arka's quality on the other is amazing.

Conclusion - I don't have a ....... clue. For my OCD, I couldn't live with the Termi's visible lack of quality finishing, but I totally respect the sound and the MotoGP-esque packaging. That doesn't mean I don't like it, I really do, but for the price I expect more. Speaking of price, the Akra is just so stupidly priced that it makes you scratch your head.

Eitherways you are spending too much money for what you get :)

Thank you for your answer, that's what I was looking for.

Yeah I hoping the price will drop again on the akra. They were on sale like a month ago on motomillion for 4800. I should have picked them up then. Maybe black Friday will have a deal lol

...."spending too much for what you get"....never really makes sense to me.....in the akra/termi/leo/arrow worlds.....where would you spend less and get more ?

For that matter.... even get something...the systems are becoming so proprietary now, its just about a given that you need what they are selling or "good luck"

AR's "lower heat" resulted in melted fairings in the past. Beware false claims.

Seriously? That's pretty hilarious. Yeah I take all those claims with a pretty big grain of salt. The heat issues with the Panigales aren't even really exhaust related but more direct contract with super hot frame / engine / subframe parts that are not adequately insulated.
