Am I stupid?

So I have been having insane amount of issues with the oem steering dampener with after market clip ons. So I took a plung with the Melotti’s side mount dampener. I have done a lot of things with bikes and I can not believe the hassle this is giving me. I have no instructions and pics only from the website which are not to helpful. Like I thought this was going to be a simple plug and play. But with it having some wierd shot with a bunch of zip ties and no instructions I am lost on how to properly install this. Has anyone had luck with installing one of these or any type of guidance?

You have to remove the black plastic piece which is zip tied to the coolant pipe behind the frame. It has a threaded portion on it which you can see in the hole in the frame. With that gone it will become more obvious.

Thank you. I figured that but wasn’t sure also. Did you remove the whose to get it out or manipulate the thing to cut the zip ties?

how difficult was install? i went down and my oem damper bracket snapped and i am thinking of side mount for the street. 24 v4. do i need to modify bodywork? remove coolant rerservoir?

@FeRoCiiOuS if you didn’t want to go side mount, @Kraai makes a mount which allows you to use the OEM spot for the damper.

Hi, During racing I encountered, that during crashes, even small ones, the mounting eye on the frame for the steering damper breaks.Has anyone had the same issues? It has been a big issue to repair this after the crash and looks terrible with the repair (if possible to repair). If not possible...
