Another fuel leak problem 2021 V4

So, I posted the same observation recently here, but I (and the mechanic who put the akro on) both think the gas smell is because of something else and not the EVAP canister removal during full-akro installation.

I searched for similar threads here and found something like this but not sure if my issue is the same?

These two hoses (just below the tank on the upper right side) are pretty much soaked in gas after a ride (~20 mins). You can see even my finger got some gas on it.

I must also mention that a week or two ago, when the temperature was below 60F, the smell was considerably less than today when it was 70F (Summer is coming).

Overall I am just concerned if the smell is because of something more serious than just EVAP canister removal.

I recently moved to a small town and the nearest Ducati dealer is a ~2 hour ride away. I did pick up that there is a Ducati tech in the area and am already looking for him.

What you are touching with your finger is the main fuel line from the tank to the engine. Your finger should not be wet with gas from touching it. I wouldn't ride it. The tank needs to be pulled and the line inspected. Is the hose clamp tight?

There also seems to be a bit of cloth tape missing. That braided cover on the hose is meant to keep the frame from wearing through the hose. The end is suppose to be covered in a cloth tape.

IIRC, the other line is just a vacuum hose. I'm not entirely sure what it connects to, but there isn't fuel running through it.

Thank you for confirming. I will not ride it until I get it looked at, once I get hold of someone with more experience around here.

And yes, your pictures does make it look like something is fishy with my braided cover. I did lowside late last year, but it was to the left side, but maybe something from it.

Sorry for the late conclusion/update ... got carried away riding the hell out of the V4 and putting on lots of kms...

The problem was the main fuel line which needed replacement (although not sure who/what fubared it :) ... the crash or the mechanic who did the Akro).

Cheers guys for your responses, wholeheartedly appreciated.
